So...much...hair! I witnessed this beast of a band at the House of Blues in L.A. back in....1998? They destroyed for an hour and a half straight...then took a small break, came back, Slayed for another hour or so. Then switched instruments for a "Nightmare Cinema" encore. An album full of musicality, but that 80's audio mix makes it sound old, luckily they improved that detail in "Awake" from 1994, where the sound sounds modern and very in line with the time, here in "Images And Words" Dream Theater sound very 80's, and this song proves it.

Why are people so confused about the prog sections being cut out? Its designed to be played on MTV as a hit single which would have helped the band commercially. Their audience isn't used to listening to progressive masterpieces which are double the length of a typical song.
