Think of how many amazing musicians over the years who died early in life. Randy Rhoads, Steve Clark, Stevie Ray Vaughan, John Bonham, John Lennon, Dimebag Darrell, Ronnie Van zant, Cliff Burton, and so many more. Whatever you think of Dream Theater's music now versus 25 years ago.... We should all be happy and grateful that these guys in Dream Theater are still around in their 50s making incredible music that even some of those greats that I mentioned could only dream of playing. Thank you Dream Theater. Thank you for not dying.

Yeah the high expectation for fans for these guys is ridiculously insulting, especially with bands like Metallica whose fans continued good will against their sheer volume of their dubious output is insane. Mangini's setup is actually way better for your neck and back. Drummers often experience a lot of compression issues with their spines, but lifting your arms up while looking up to hit stuff over your head is much better for alignment and spine health.

I know LaBrie's vocals are not for everyone, but he looks healthy when he sings and not like he is reaching for those high notes (because they ARE pretty god damn high)
@valeriocesarini56615 жыл бұрын
The voice is VERY processed, but it's okay. It definitely doesn't sound bad, I like processing on a voice, especially on a very high-pitched one like Labrie's. I've always thought that his problem is live, and not in the studio. With comping, time and care he can put up a good performance. Unfortunately years of tireless live activity must have taken a toll on his stamina and voice strenght, and it's definitely evident live. He's my favorite singer and always will be, and I hope with all my heart that he finds a way to preserve/recover his voice and avoid poor figures live or completely lose it. I love him and he doesn't deserve all the hate DT fans tend to have.
