This is one of those games that need to be played with the keyboard and mouse.

The classic that time have forgotten.

Plays great with the DC keyboard and mouse. I think there's a community still playing this and Quake 3 Arena on private servers online. The arcade cab had a joystick with trigger for moving & firing and a trak ball for aiming.

Good chance by the end of the year or early next year the game will be brought back online much like most of the Dreamcast games. Would recommend heading over to Dreamcast-live for more details

Joseph Jenkins racy! I just played it an hour ago and LOVE IT! I adjust the controls to “D1” with forward/backward/strafe left/right mapped to the buttons on the right instead of the awful default, which has you move with the “+” digital while simultaneously using the analogue stick to look around (virtually impossible to use your left thumb to do both), Right trigger to shoot, Left to jump, D-Pad up to change weapons, down to change view (first person or behind character), and analogue to look and turn). It can take some getting used to, but you’ll be glad you did! *This control scheme also works GREAT for Quake 3 and Unreal Tournament* Gameplay: levels are tight, designed for arcades, smaller than in some other games, but perfectly designed, amping up the rush. Rock solid 60fps, typical but awesome weapons, and in contrast to most FPS games, it’s bright not gloomy and the colors really pop! You can use a DC mouse/keyboard, but I’d rather eat my own teeth. Graphics are excellent, as it’s a true SEGA-made game that was directly ported from the arcade. They could network several arcade machines together, AND you could play it on your DC at home directly against arcade players in real-time! It automatically matches speed to an even rate to keep it fair, and it does also work with the DC broadband adapter (if you know where I can find one, please reply, as the Dreamcast is still very alive online via fan-servers). Fast, Furious, Frenzied, Outtrigger is *still* ahead of its time!

The guys nailed it...much like "WAR: FINAL ASSAULT", indeed. I miss that game. I wish I had a Dreamcast back in the day to play this game, too.

Man. I wish War: Final Assault made it to consoles!

I was just thinking that they should totally play 007: Agent Under Fire. Jetpacks, Grappling claws and Golden guns only is an awesome mode.

I think there was a character you could unlock on this that could jump extremely high. Great game

Such a great game. Played it quite a bit back in the day, along with Unreal Tournament and Quake 3 Arena. It would be amazing to get a remaster of this game with modernized controls and online play of course.

you guys need to revisit this and try it with the Virtual On Twin Stick controllers, it fully supports them and works surprisingly well.

Gotta change the control scheme in the options. The default option is almost unplayable. Its also playable with the KB/M but I dont think you can use 4kb/m because you need 2 controller ports for 1kb+m setup

Twin Sticks solve this issue and they work perfectly for this game.
