This brought back some memories. I had a Toshiba msx 1 back in the 80s. But in the UK most games were on tape instead of cartridge, had a lot of fun with it and wish I still had it as it was the first computer I had (alongside a oric), so have fond memories of it, though I don't recall most of the games showcased here, perhaps we got a very different collection? Interesting point about Microsoft's investment in the msx, they wrote the basic on every system and also supplied the basic for a number of other systems including apple 2 and others. They also made addon boards for the apple 2 back then as well.

RE: the 2016 SNES episode, I think there are enough games left out of the SNES overview to do a part 2. I remember spending entire summers engrossed in KOEI's simulation and strategy games, and it even got a port of an Amiga game called Utopia, which was like a Sim City x RTS. Of course there were also lots of RPGs and multiplats to cover.

My favorite game for the Xbox was Man Hunt. It's such an injustice that nobody ever talks about this work of art. 22It was basically the creepiest "cat and mouse" game ever created. Man it was tense. It really sucked you in and made your butt pucker up while you were hiding as gangs hunted you down. I'd give anything for a remake. Freedom Fighters was a total game changer when it first came out. There was absolutely nothing like it. The story and atmosphere was incredible. It was the first game that introduced me to a story I wanted to learn more about. You started a revolution by recruiting people that you could actually command. Nothing like this had ever been done before. Admittedly, the graphics was kind of disappointing, but the gameplay made up for it
