I'm not going to put all the blame on this, but I genuinely believe a huge part of low Xbox sales has to do with the *CONSTANT* anti-Xbox, "Xbox is dead!" and "every Xbox game sucks!" spam coming from the army of PS fanboys online. They preemptively attack every Xbox game before release, nitpick the hell out of them after release, review bomb games they haven't even played, poor shame people & call them broke for subbing to Game Pass, claim there's no games on the system despite port begging to bring the games to PS5, and spread never ending rumors of Xbox about to stop making hardware. They greatly outnumber any amount of Xbox fans, and these same people are the ones telling friends, family, coworkers & customers "Don't buy Xbox, they're about to go full 3rd party or drop out of video games entirely (DreamcastGuy)." They've effectively created an environment where general people are afraid to invest in the platform regardless of what MS does. What's dumb is that if these Sony fanboys get their wish, that will leave Sony with zero competition, and they'll really ramp up their price gouging, lack of new games, and anti-consumer practices.

I'm not sure where these ponies are pulling the "...down 58%..." from as Microsoft don't publish sales figures 🤔. All this tells me is that more people in Europe are either playing Xbox games via the cloud or PC rather than the console itself, remember that PlayStation console sales are also down so that could mean that the PC ports are also having an effect there as well 🤨. The only one of the big three that is up in sales is Nintendo with the Switch and given what I've just said about the Xbox and PlayStation I think it's obvious to see that PC does eat into console sales. I'm not saying this is a good or bad thing though, just pointing out what GriftcastGuy seems to have missed.

The PS5 Pro already showed a glimpse of the shitshow. I was expecting the PS6 to cost $700. Nope. A digital only PS5 with very little spec upgrades and no stand, is $700. PS6 could cost well over $800. $700 is already more pricey than laptops you can use to PC game (most of the good stuff doesn't even require the latest hardware because moder Triple A games suck).

Having more options is only bad when the majority of your customers is women and its not "coffee", having the option for a cheaper and weaker system is good when you just need something to give a kid, that's why Nintendo has gotten away with the Switch. Having options for disc drive is good for ppl that are mainly there to play 10 different Game Pass games a year and not ever own a physical game copy. I only play a couple games per year so replay value is important to me and a subscription would end up more expensive (I can also get keys or games/dlc on sale).

Its not like Xbox is dead, its just all consoles slowly decaying as a platform due to their business decisions. Like brah, back in the day consoles were this cheaper and way simpler to use option, you just pop in a game and play without having to tinker with graphics settings or worry about game not working. Nowadays consoles cost as much as an actually decent used PC, dont have any exclusive titles because 99% of them are getting a PC release couple months after console, and refuse to add functionalities that were considered a standard on PC years ago.
