It's nice to see you gave Boca another chance. I know some songs have to grow on people but it really is a good song. Although Dreamcatcher is known for having that rock element in their title tracks, they venture into other genres in their b-sides and they do an amazing job at it. Their range/diversity is insane. The b-sides range from R&B to Reggae to Jazz to EDM to Funk and almost everything in between. They really can do it all. Being a fan of just about every genre of music, I haven't heard a b-side (or title track) I don't like from them. But I may be a little biased since they are my ult kpop group. If you continue your Dreamcatcher journey it'd be nice to see you react to some of those too. Not sure what type of music is your favorite but I'm certain you'll find at least one DC non-rock song you'll fall in love with.

Yeaaaaaaah! Thanks for checking again on your own AND with a Live stage. DC stage presence is so mesmerizing, and their Live vocals are epic. Siyeon hold these notes every single time even after all this dancing. Also you're correct, Handong (the Chinese member) was still in China stuck because of the whole travel ban with the pandemic situation but also for some solo activities after a music survival TV show. Lets just say, Dreamcatcher is a genre of their own lol. great reaction as always, sorry i'm a late finder of this channel as i comment on the last DC reaction, was first time getting recommended on your channel today. but i'm here for the ride!!! As i said, Dreamcatcher is a genre of their own, their title tracks are always epic to me, and their bsides is like a "Box of Cholcolate, you never know what you gonna get" but you will eat it all anyways cus its that damn good lol. Deja Vu was in colaboration with a mobile game Kings Raid, and they made a Japanese track to Kings Raid's anime called "Eclipse". I hope i get to see you react to that! Keep up the good work!!!

To be honest I didn't really fully appreciate Boca until I heard the lead singer of Rolling Quartz cover it lmao. I guess it's one of those things that I needed another, different perspective from an artist I stan more than DC. Dreamcatcher really are great performers. I know MMM is your standard, but there are a lot of really good stage performers amongst girl groups. Dreamcatcher is one of the best ones imo. Also they have great vocals, again having MMM (and RV to some degree I'd imagine too) as your standard for vocals is hard to go up against, but yeah. If you ever want 3rd/4th gen girl group suggestions, I got you lmao.

YAY! Glad you enjoyed it! I completely understand the experience you're describing. I've been there before with plenty of songs. Honestly, I wasn't terribly fond of "Boca" at first either. "Scream" and "Odd Eye" blew it out of the water comparatively. At this point though, my favorite of the trilogy fluctuates between "Scream" and "Boca" regularly. I'm genuinely excited for you! Just need to finish up the trilogy now with "Odd Eye"! They're stage presence and live vocals are unfair. I feel like the presence for the trilogy was even crazier because the choreo doesn't even feel like choreo. It feels like an entire theater production with the props and backup dancers. Plenty of clips of other idols mentioning how good Dreamcatcher's live vocals are through their in-ear or by attendance. Can't wait for the continuation of your journey! Thanks for the reactions!

Dreamcatcher Pronunciation Guide: it's easy when you know all the vowels are ee, oo, or ah (except the doe in Handong), and one of the weird rules is when you see Si say "she". So they are JiU jee-yoo, SuA soo-ah, Siyeon she-yawn, Handong hahn-doeng, Gahyeon gah-hyawn and Yoohyeon yoo-hyawn (there is an H starting the second syllable in their names that Siyeon doesn't have, but you don't have to emphasize it really strong), and of course Dami dah-mee. More advanced, the G, D, and S at the beginning of Gahyeon, Dami, and SuA are all very light almost like a K, T, and Th but not quite. A hard, bursty G, D, S are different letters in Korean that change the meanings of the words. Dong (lightly) is Handong, DDong (heavy D) is poop.

Totally understand about boca. I never listen to any rock/ metal related stuff before getting into dreamcatcher. I hate to say this but when i first listen to dc. Even deja vu which many consider masterpiece was quite harsh to my ear and same for boca. But something, something pull me back for the second listen, third listen... Now, dreamcatcher discography to me is just chief kiss.

I totally understand why you didn’t like Boca at first, because when I first got into kpop (I think it was some Blackpink songs) I was so NOT prepared for all the vibe switches that can occur in one song, and I wasn’t sure if I liked it either! I think you’re going to love Odd Eye. Scream and Boca are obviously very different, and Odd Eye is the one that ties the sounds together and makes the whole trilogy feel cohesive. It’s probably my favorite of all their title tracks, or at least top three with What, and You and I.

I wouldn't call Boca metal. The beat is moombahton EDM mixed with mainstream rock elements put together using MIDI. The only live instrument on the track is the piano. If you want metal then you'll have to watch their Japanese MV Endless Night which was recorded using a Japanese metal band. kzbin.info/www/bejne/rXSkfah8rpeMjKs The Japanese like metal while Koreans do not.
