Demian is from the Hermann Hesse novel, which is quite well known in South Korea. BTS used it as the basis of their song Blood Sweat and Tears and the album Wings.

Yes that's why I didn't like it as a title... I'm not that particular on pronounciation but this is exactly what I was afraid of - people thinking this is how it's spelled and still getting it wrong (French is difficult I know but that's exactly why they should've chosen something easier). It doesn't need an é for that reason. Besides they wrote it as one which I don't get. It's as if they wrote ODDEYE instead of Odd Eye.

I was saying if they are speaking it like that then the é is needed as that creates the ‘eh’ e sound, most of the time e is silent.

Bon Voyage is sung as 4 notes so they would have to place some emphasis on the ‘ge’ at the end in order to sound it out. I’m guessing it was an artistic choice rather than simply the Korean way of pronouncing the word.

I don't think they're trying to say "bon voyage" in a French way; that's just how Koreans would pronounce the word "voyage" kind of like Jung "TikTok challen-gee" Eunha or Kim "Thank you very much-ee" Sowon.

Thanks for your reaction, dear sir. They pronounce French "bon voyage" in Korean, this is exactly how Koreans write this - '본보야지', because their writing and pronounciation systems are a bit different from european languages. As if the phrase was adopted to Korean language.
