Siyeon can deliver whatever the song requires of her. She has a 4 octave range and she's especially good at R&B and Jazz. She has incredible power and control. Siyeon has the kind of voice that was made for concert halls of the 19th Century before microphones were invented. She doesn't need one. You'll notice when she's going to show her power she moves the mike further away. Even doing that she often overpowers the other members when they're performing on stage.

Yay! Dreamcatcher album reactions. The best way to consume Dreamcatcher's music, in my opinion. I always loved the dichotomy of their first two single albums. Hard hitting anime style rock songs paired with these beautiful slower songs. I laughed when you said Siyeon had that soft birdlike voice because it just shows how versatile she can be. She has so much power in her voice and she can project it like crazy but she also can do the softer more gentle things as well. Siyeon was in a rock band when she was in school so that harder style is more her speed. Fans have been wanting her to cover a Paramore song for years. I'd love to see her tackle one of their songs. Looking forward to Fall asleep in the Mirror. It's got one of my favorite intros. Also the BSide, Lullaby, just got an updated version earlier this year. If you do the original special clip and the new version you can hear how much their voices have matured in that time.

Thank you for the update tip. It’s a great idea but I also know I would have heard both songs and been SO confused! She didn’t even give me until the end of the song to be like, okay Siyeon has all the vocals. She can be a bird but she can be a freaking lioness! I would love to hear her do Playing God or That’s What You Get. Any Paramore song of course but she emotes so well, I’d love to see her tackle one of their b-sides

"Chase me" was their debut, released on January 13th (a Friday), 2017. It must have been nerve-wrecking for the members, re-debuting with a genre that is not popular in Korea after Minx failed. (5 of them were Minx before.) But they already doubled their sales with this. And they stuck with the Rock/Metal vibe until today, now selling 50 times the albums than Minx did. This is the start of the Nightmare arc, which spans 6 MVs and 1 Japanese release. They are Nightmares here, and the Nightmare hunter is trying to dispel them - how that turns out is shown in the next one, Good Night. Their dance costume here is like a shortened Yukata, except wrapped right over left, something that's usually only done for the deceased. Fits well into the horror concept! Remember the ending here for when you react to Good Night!

Having seen some Minx stuff I know those 5 can do any theme because Minx was so so different. It’s really cool they got to stay together and solidify a more successful and probably more personal career with Dreamcatcher. On the fits, I never would have known that on my own and it fleshes out the concept even more! I love learning about cultural or historical elements like that, thank you!!
