@@randomsheep1165 I've been a kpop fans since snsd era. In that time, I was 15 yo and now 24. Mostly girl group. Snsd, t ara, apink, gfriend, mamamoo, ikon, omg, twice, red velvet, blackpink. These are all of the groups that I liked in a certain period of time. None of them leave such an impact i had when I listened to Dreamcatcher. Especially, siyeon. Well, in the beginning. I was quite sceptical with DC since I heard they kinda copy Babymetal style. But, then I give it a try with Scream. Heck, I love it. And then, I listened to the Dystopis album. Mind-blowing. It's so good that I instantly drop blackpink.

@@BirdHater i think HF have been focusing more on developing the members' dancing abilities and musicality these past years, since those attract newer kpop fans easier. a pattern that's common with the girls is that they have sudden booms of skill in between comebacks, so i think what signie needs to develop her support more is to rest and have time to practice. plus, minx's disbandment really affected her and it probably interfered with her vocal development due to unmotivation. she has said before that she became depressed during that era, so it's a possibility. siyeon already has a lot of the attributes necessary for a competent vocalist: good chest voice and middle to lower register, great range, excellent vibratto, emotion, musicality, good control over power and volume... i'd say the only thing holding her back is breath control and support. once she gets the hang of that (which i'm sure she will), she could easily be on wendy's level. i've seen people say that sohyung had bad technique in her early career, and i think that just goes to show that in some cases, slowly improving is better than sudden leaps in skill. look at where the woman is now: korea's most experienced and renowned female vocalist. so tbh, i'm not very worried for siyeon considering all the potential she holds. but that's just my opinion. this is why i hate the idea of dreamcatcher becoming part of bighit. somnias act like it would be this amazing thing, and while i obviously don't deny the fact that it would help their popularity, bighit would completely ruin their signature brand and wouldn't help them become better vocalists AT ALL.
