As a sidenote, dance practice for Good Night and You and I are SOOO Iconic that they cannot be skipped. One due to Dami Magic, the other due to their crazy doll-like intro. On the other hand Chase me choreo is just among the hardest one across any K-Pop girl group so worth a look as well.

Fun facts. This is the only choreo to incorporate props that all the members use. (The flags in Boca are held by the backup dancers.) If you pause at one of the dance scenes in the house you can see a video camera on a tripod accidentally left in frame on the left of the screen.

Handong and Yoohyeon were mistaken by their own mothers, that’s probably why people were saying you’ll probably confuse them. I ,myself ,have never had the problem of mistaking them for each other. But then, I never had a problem identifying any of them. 😂

In "You and I" you can see the spider queen coming for Yoohyeon. She is the old woman that is being photographed - only to rob Yoohyeon's spirit. Also, earlier we see Dongie being pinned to the wall by needles, what is usually done to insects. For me, Yoohyeon's spirit is being pulled out here and thrown into the white dimension, which we will see again in Piri. The spider queen takes over her body, which is why we see JiU grab her neck in the end. If you ask me, I believe "You and I" is a direct follow-up to "Fly High". For me, the story continues here through to Piri, and Chase me would then follow Piri chronologically. I highly recommend to check out the dance practice as well, because Dami does something very special that didn't make it into the MV.

A sightly different interpretation (mostly consistent with others). The entire arc is in a dreamscape with the exception of some of Fly High. Chase Me/Goodnight has little to do with the rest of the arc; just an episode where a paranormal investigator {trying to solve why people in the hotel have nightmares?} chases them. Because Yoohyeon is with the group, it could be between Good Night and You and I, or Between Piri and Breaking Out. At the end of You and I, all are in the the dream world except Yoohyeon, who is trapped in the nightmare realm.

There are three more videos in the Nightmare Series. Breaking Out is a Japanese release sung in Japanese and English. It is an alternative version of the end of the Nightmare Series.

So, as i said on the last video there is a major split here on plot interpretation: people who think it goes (chronologically): prequel - chase me - good night - you and I - what - piri (this one is the one i prefer; additionally some people consider their japanese dong "Breaking Out" to be an alternative end here too) OR prequel - you and I - what - piri - chase me - goodnight (i think this one goes in that order anyways) The people saying you will confuse Handong and Yoohyeon are getting ahead of themselves a bit. During the period starting with Odd Eye, through Summer Holiday/BEcause, they had similar hair styles/colors that confused people. The moms getting them confused happened during BEcause era i believe. At this point, you're more likely to be getting JiU/Yoohyeon confused (Piri era especially) and i see people getting siyeon and sua confused decently often for a while too although i didnt have that issue. The JiU/Handong/Yoohyeon trio gave me the most trouble

Fly High and You & I borrow from the Ojibwe tribes' traditions where spiders are guardians (that's why dreamcatchers are shaped like spider webs to catch bad thoughts before they can enter your dreams). Fly High - JiU catches a spider, Yoohyeon burns it, the Book starts corrupting the members. You & I - the Spider Queen curses Yoohyeon, other members try to free her but they all get cursed and exist as bored spirits for 100 years until Chase Me guy comes ghost hunting them and looking for the book.

First of all, DreamCatcher M/V story telling is almost never linear so try to guess after the entire video is over but first try to build the order of the frames telling the story :D There are multiple possible story (M/V) orders and we do not have official confirmation. What is certain is that the Spider Queen comes for a revenge due to Yoohyeon burning the spider in Fly High trapping her soul in the Dreamworld from where she tries but fails to escape even as the others try to help her. 4:43 is kind of an Inception reference, the spinner is meant to tell if one is in the real world or in a dream. The problem with the order is that What is kind of direct continuation of You and I, Yoohyeon still trapped in the Dreamworld while the others attempt to find her. But in What we see the lost Grimoire that was lost at the end of Good Night and that was obtained from the Nightmare Hunter. So based on that What should come after Good Night. However that means You and I should also happen after Good Night, but in Good Night we are already at the modern age with camcorders while in You and I we see old cameras. And What is also in the modern era while Piri and Breaking out is almost fully in the Dreamworld so there we do not know the actual time.

Adding on to this, What should also be in the dreamworld, which is portrayed as a snow globe. The girls enter the dream world to find Yoohyeon, but they all end up trapped, which leads us to Piri. It’s especially notable that we’re in the dream world when the the world flips upside down in the shot of Yoohyeon falling on to the bed and the following shots having snowfall (cause snow globe). One theory to explain the Good Night->You and I timeline is that they leave the hotel/mansion(?) to set up base elsewhere (remember that they don’t want the corruption to spread, like when JiU closes the gate at the end of Fly High). When they get discovered by the supernatural detective guy, they know they have to leave to remain hidden. Them using older tech is fine, they’re likely in another old abandoned building.

1TheK don't do subs. You have to use the version that's on the Happyface YT channel. When the song was released Dreamcatcher company didn't exist as yet and Happyface Entertainment were releasing songs through third party digital distributors like 1TheK.

There are guides to the lore. But basically the girls are trying to get yoohyeon back in this one, but they miss their timing and the mv for "what" picks the story straight up. The spider queen is chasing them after Yoo killed the spider in fly high, I think they were cursed by her to be nightmares in revenge. To be honest the lore escapes me at moments too! But the mvs are Pretty!

Haven't watched the full video yet but omg I'm so excited for this one! Edit: I'll let InSomnias who are better at explanations do the explaining, but I love to hear you both working out your own theories! I'd definitely check out the live stages for this one since you liked the handkerchief usage; their use of props in the choreo is so unique and incredibly cool. Looking forward to the next one!

It wasn't until after You and I that I stopped confusing Handong and Yoohyeon. They got a little older and their faces finished developing and now there should be no way of mixing them up.

Try to be brief. Jiu caught the spider and Yoohyeon, taken over by her dark side, killed the spider thus bringing on the curse. You will see a lot of mirrors in Dreamcatcher videos which symbolize human duality, creatures of light and darkness. The girls, having escaped into the world, attempt to exorcize the dark spirit possessing Yoohyeon. The spirit is driven out, but returns in the form of a middle aged woman and takes control of Yoohyeon again. It's the spider queen. Yoohyeon's spirit is banished to the cold white dimension. The girls try another ritual which is ambiguous, but which seems to involve some kind of sacrifice (the black feathers). It fails and Yoohyeon is still not herself. When she wakes on the pentagram you can see the strangeness in her eyes. The video ends with no real change in their fate. I think the photo studio they're operating refers to the belief that many tribal cultures have that taking someones picture takes part of the soul. The MV's after this one become much more difficult to understand and are more symbolic. Just keep in mind that they were made for a Korean audience and not a Western one, so the imagery is mostly from Asia with some Western mythology that Koreans like mixed in.

dreamcatcher \:D/ there are various interpretations but mine is that you and I follows fly high in terms of the visual plot. in fly high, you see yoohyeon kill a spider and it also so happens the mansion they were in was inhabited by some spider spirit. here in you and I, the spider spirits comes and curses yoohyeon, sending her to some alternate 'mirror' universe. the other members are just investigating and trying to bring her back. anyways the visual plot is just for added entertainment. don't worry about not getting any of it lol ;)
