Thank you! I have owned this frame for over 6 years now, and could never figure out how to set custom positions. I read the instruction manual over and over and gave up. I randomly thought, lets see if by now a you tube video will show this, as back then I tried and got nothing. Thank you so much for this video! Love the frame and now I can not sleep on a flat bed, sucks to go on vacation now.

After a brief stay in the hospital I came home to my old bed and immediately went online to order a good adjustable bed. It was delivered and has sat in my entry way for 10 days while I tried to arrange for someone to set it up for me. I sought out instructions from good old KZbin and found your most excellent video. I am so relieved I can keep my bed frame! And I can use the shorter legs so I am not needing a stairway climb up on my "princess-and-the-pea" stacked mattress. Thanks ever so much.

bought a split king dreamcloud premier hybrid rest today with the adjustable bed frame. they do offer an extended 10 year warranty on the bed frame. i did not get at checkout with the price being $169, but after checkout it was immediately offered for $69 ($100 off) so got it. the extended warranty covers everything 100% and if it can't be fixed a new one is provided for free.

Fantastic review! I appreciate how thorough you were. I just purchased a DreamCloud adjustable base. It's getting assembled tomorrow. I can't wait to try out all the cool features. However, the rep told me that they stopped offering the white glove service due to Covid.

I just ordered my dreamcloud bed and adjustable base today I asked about the attachment to add a headboard I was told that if I did that it would avoid my warranty on the base I just thought I should let you know

Wow, really? Thanks for sharing this. That seems very surprising to say the least, considering that they specifically sell an attachment to enable this and they never mentioned anything about this to us. When you receive the base I would be very interested in knowing if the warranty really does contain a clause that stipulates this. It's possible that it does but I wouldn't be at all surprised if it doesn't. Since our reviews tend to go deeper than the product information that is otherwise available, we've encountered many cases in the past where the customer service people for any given brand may be unaware of or misinformed about some of the details we provide. Great review! The one thing that didn't impress me was seeing you sitting at the foot of the bed and seeing a substantial side mattress defection! I noticed you were sitting all the way back, but that mattress side deflection seems to be a deal breaker. Your thoughts on this would be appreciated.

Hi there -- Thanks for your question. Are you talking about the deflection of the mattress that is visible, for example, at 17:27 in the video? If so, this is called edge support and it has 100% to do with the mattress and 0% to do with the base (which is what is being covered in this video). Put another way, with someone sitting in that position, that mattress would deflect the exact same amount if it were on a slab of concrete. Also, for some additional context about the edge support of this particular mattress, while there clearly is some deflection (and there are some mattresses that would have less of this), in the grand scheme of all mattresses, that amount of is still better than average. I hope that's helpful.

I wish someone, somewhere, would demonstrate the kind size adjustable bases from dreamcloud, nectar etc. They offer "king" or "split king" yet there is no such thing as a one-piece king base anymore (which begs the question, why have the "king" option in their cart - when you select it, they say "this is actually two twins" LOL). Would love to see the "strap" they speak of in terms of how the two twin adjustable bases are strapped together to prevent movement, and how they ensure the two twin bases are synced with one remote, for those that have a one-piece king mattress.

All you have to do is sync the two mattresses with the sync cable that they provide and connect the cable to each bed which has a sync port for Bed A and Bed B. Bed A and Bed B will now be controlled simultaneously.

I'm not aware of any official statements on that specifically, however they did say that it's zero clearance, and we also showed this in the video. And that's one of the things that zero clearance means. I hope that's helpful.

Hello, do you think the feet will scratch a hardwood floor?

Hi Bob -- Thanks for your question. These legs don't seem any more likely to scratch your floor than the legs of any other bed frame -- or any other piece of furniture that gets sat on for that matter (couches, chairs, etc.). That said, just like with any other piece of furniture, I'd recommend putting some kind of felt or rubber adhesive on the bottom of the legs in order to protect your floors from that possibility. Have you tried/accomplish controlling it with you phone using the app. Allegedly you can I’ve not been able to do it. Kind of a chore depending on having the remote in bed

Hi Mark -- Thanks for your question. Have you watched the video? We covered this in the "Remote Control and App" section, which starts at 13:34. We had a little trouble at first as well, but we were ultimately successful and shared what we learned. If that doesn't do the trick then I'd suggest reaching out to the company for tech support.

I messaged dreamcloud today and asked about headboard compatibility, and they said it was not designed to be used with a headboard. Can you post a link to the headboard brackets? I dont see them anywhere. Thanks for the in depth review! 👍🏻

Hi Brian -- The unit is definitely compatible with headboard brackets. They aren't included with the bed, so maybe that was what confused their customer service agent. However, there are even instructions for installing them in the manual, which you can see here: d.pr/i/Xvwf8W. If you want the headboard brackets, here's the number to call -- they'll need to know the exact model you have and they should be able to find the part you need: 720-458-5955. This is a company called Uniters -- they handle warranty issues and parts for a number of mattress companies, including DreamCloud. I hope that's helpful.

144lbs? It feels more like a million 44. I was JUST able to drag it 3 feet into my garage with another person. I wish I had ordered saatva and their put it together service. I did not because I heard this takes less time to arrive, and it did. It came in 2 days. But what good is that. Old people, get someone to put it together. BTW, with all the upgrades they ask you about, I was not asked about white glove delivery and set up.

Hi there -- Thanks for your astute question. Technically it does, but this particular mattress model does have a difficult time conforming to the curves of the base when it's in a fully elevated position. This is a good example of why we explain to consumers that not all mattresses that are technically "adjustable base compatible" are created equally in terms of how compatible they actually are. As a result of its conformance limitations and other related factors that we assess, we rated this mattress a 6 (out of 10) for adjustable base compatibility. I hope that's helpful.

Hi Linda -- Thanks for your question. No, the one shown in this video is a standard queen. Mike is 6 feet tall so is on the tall side to be using a queen size in the first place. On top of that, when any mattress is used an adjustable base, its functional length gets a bit shorter as the base is elevated higher and higher. That said, Mike also accentuates this effect by slouching a bit more than he normally would in order to keep the bottoms of his shoes from touching the mattress. I hope that's helpful.

The mattress shown here is a standard queen size. Mike is 6 feet tall, so he is on the tall side for a Queen size mattress in general, but he is also slouching in such a way as to keep his shoes from touching the bed. The other effect you're seeing is that when you fully elevate the head of the mattress, the effective length of the mattress gets a a couple inches shorter. So if he were planning on using his adjustable base in this position a lot AND wanted to be under the covers when in this position, then he would probably prefer to upgrade to a larger size mattress. 6 feet tall. Queen size bed. He's right at the tall end of the spectrum for a queen size, but he purposely hangs his feet a little off the edge so the soles of his shoes aren't on the mattress.

Thanks Chrissy! You're right that a queen size mattress would be a bit small to use with an adjustable base, though it works just fine when lying flat. With the way that an adjustable base beds the mattress, you'll use 2-4 more inches of length when the head is fully elevated than you will when it is flat. This is one reason we recommend that people who are considering an adjustable base choose a slightly longer mattress than they would otherwise need. Of course, the features and functionality or a mattress or base are the same no matter the size, but for consistency, we shoot all our videos with Queen size because it's the most common and popular size.
