Thank you for posting this and it made my mind to purchase Nectar's adjustable Base within two weeks. My concern is how to assembly when FedEx delivers to my house and the customer service told me that they stop the white-glove service. If I'm going to spend $1000.00 and I don't want to screw up doing it myself. The nectar premier matters will cost me $1299. That is the reason I didn't buy it today. Any suggestions?

Hi Roberto -- Thanks for your questions. You could always consider hiring someone in your local area (eg, through TaskRabbit) to help you with the assembly. Short of that, I would suggest referring to the assembly portion of this video, which starts at 20:37. I hope that's helpful.

Thank you for replying... Another question... so a concern I've not found a lot of info on whether you can use a hybrid (Coil) mattress on an adjustable bed frame... ? If you can is there something we need to look for specifically combining the 2 ? Thx
@goodbed2 жыл бұрын
Hi Stephanie. Great question. The answer? It depends. Most of the hybrid mattresses we've reviewed can be used on an adjustable base. However, some traditional innerspring mattresses made with connected coils (rather than pocketed coils) cannot be used because they have a heavy steel wire that runs all around the perimeter of the mattress at the top and at the bottom -- and that wire can't be bent. The best way to check if a bed is compatible with an adjustable base is to check their website. Most brands tell you straight up if it's adjustable-base compatible, and many of them actually sell an adjustable base of their own. It takes a little more digging, but that info can usually also be found in the warranty, where they'll talk about what kind of base needs to be used with the bed. In our video reviews we always talk about adjustable-base compatibility, and we test mattresses on our own adjustable base too. Thanks for the question!

Do you know how durable this power base is? Never had one and kinda nervous if the motor or something on it stops working.
@goodbed3 жыл бұрын
Hi and thanks for the question. We can't know definitively how long this or any adjustable base will last. But this one does have an unusual 50-day trial period -- most adjustable bases are not returnable at all. It also has a three-year warranty on the steel parts, and a one-year warranty on the electronics/motor. Overall, we feel these units are built to last. We use a different model for our mattress testing and it's been going strong for 4 years. Hope that's helpful!

Do adjustable bases have a safety mechanism so if you start using it and a pet or overly curious little grandchild climbs on it or gets underneath the base will stop and not crush them? My husband is tall and I noticed your feet hang over. How long is the queen bed
@goodbed Жыл бұрын
It's designed to fit a Queen sized mattress, which is typically 60" x 80" inches. Mike (shown in the video) is 6'0" tall, so he is at the tall end for a queen size bed but can generally sleep in a queen size without any problems. That said, when the mattress is elevated, it does tend to feel a little shorter. So if you plan to use your mattress on an adjustable base, you may want to opt for slightly more length than you'd otherwise need. I hope that's helpful.

Is this pretty much the same as the Classic Brands one? Btw, Nectar has been taking months to fulfill orders for their bases and frames. Took a month to even get my queen mattress.
@goodbed4 жыл бұрын
Hi there -- thanks for the comment. Adjustable bases tend to have a lot of similar features, and both the Nectar and the Classic Brands base have all the main ones: several presets, USB ports, head/foot massage. Both had wireless remotes. So on a features basis, they are indeed very similar. As for the shipping issues at Nectar, we have been hearing similar stories across the board -- COVID-19 has disrupted the entire supply chain as well as shipping. Some companies seem to be doing better communicating to customers about those delays, and some are not. Glad you got your mattress and hopefully you had something to sleep on in the meantime!

@goodbed2 жыл бұрын
Hi Angelia -- Thanks for your comment, and sorry for the technical issue you're having with your base. FWIW, the request from Nectar's customer service team does make a lot of sense to me in this case since one of the most likely explanations for why it would have stopped working is if one of the wires got disconnected somehow. Seeing a picture of the bottom that shows all the wiring would help them assess what needs to be done to solve this. I hope that's helpful.

Do you have any thoughts on the Rejuven8 3.0 base from Denver Mattress.
@goodbed4 жыл бұрын
Hi Tami. We haven't looked at that particular model. But we can tell you that it's probably made by another company for Denver Mattress -- that's true of most store 'house' brands. So as such, it's likely comparable in performance to other adjustable bases of other brands. It does looks a lot like the Nectar base we review here, though I can't be certain.

Mike I've looked at a number of your adjustable bed reviews and you never mention where they are made. I for one prefer to know my bed is manufactured in the USA as opposed to China or Taiwan. I would also like to see you add the degrees of adjustment, I have seen some beds that allow for 70 degrees of head adjustment and some only in the upper 50s, a big difference. And in a case like Nectar that doesn't manufacture the base, who is making it.
@goodbed4 жыл бұрын
Hi -- and thanks for the comment. You make a great point -- when we review mattresses, we always mention where they are made. But we usually don't for the bases, so we'll take note of that in the future. Same for the degrees of elevation. As you have guessed, many adjustable bases are made by other companies rather than the one whose name they bear. Nectar does not publicly say who manufacturers their bases, but it's definitely imported--Nectar says from either Taiwan or India. Hope that's helpful -- and thanks again for the suggestions.
@ThePdxster4 жыл бұрын
@@goodbed Thanks Mike, it was quite frustrating trying to figure out where they are made, nobody wants to tell unless they are made in the US. I ended up getting a Leggett & Platt. I know they are made in the US and have a pretty good reputation. I do like the tilt feature on the Glideaway Odessa and was my top choice until I found out they are made in China (like most ABs).

@goodbed3 жыл бұрын
Hi Steve. Thanks for your comment. It's true -- we spend a LOT more time testing these models than other reviewers do. To address your other comment, you can stop the motor any time at any level -- you do not HAVE to put it all the way up. You can stop at any point midway. And you can also save up to three custom settings -- that allows you to put the base in whatever position you like, then save it, so that at the touch of a button, you can return to that position. Hope that's helpful.
@sean57622 жыл бұрын
Your comment is so stupid it’s actually funny. He spent the time to show you several preset settings for example anti snore, zero gravity, tv setting and then showed 3 customizable presets that allow any setting at any degree to be saved as a custom preset setting. None of these settings are full up or full down including the factory presets. I’m actually not sure there was any setting other than flat that was full up or down so I’m not sure what you are even talk8ng about. Where do they come from ?
