I am so excited to go with you when you SAIL to the Bahamas! Although it will be vicariously, I'm still excited and I'm very excited for you! Again, as always, great video, I love you brother!

Great video. I think you’ve now convinced me to invest in a dinghy with an outboard instead of a sailing dinghy 😂
@sailingonabudget9 ай бұрын
🤣🤣 Nice ! Actually I do have an outboard for it, and my next little excursion I have planned will require me to use it. Stay tuned !

Lol, me too !! Seriously though, I am really planning things out as thoroughly as you can, knowing that sailing plans are never set in stone. But it is truly looking good for this venture. 👍

Thank You. Great Vids. I keep my teak natural also. I use Semco. I'am taking Southern Influence ( Pearson 323 ) to the Bahamas as well. Hope to see you there.

Thank you ! The 323 is a great boat, almost got one myself. It would be great to see you in the Bahamas. I hope we can make it happen.

New sub here. Love the way you are open with what this cost. I am about to buy a 1985 Island Packet 27. Sounds small but she is 10.5 feet wide and man that makes a difference. For me it is the right boat at the right price but at the wrong time. This time next year would have been the right time. However it is a dream of mine and I am a certified marine tech so I know how to do any repairs that it needs now or come up so i think I am going to go for it. Might end up selling my music gear and gun collection for parts but that is OK.

Thanks for the sub. IP's are great boats and 27 is a fine size. We lived on a Catalina 27 for 3 years back in 89-92. In my case I'm willing to sacrifice future income for time. But you can't make more time so for me it's worth it. Hope my videos inspire you to do it !

did you have the dodger made locally? And if so, can you share who did the work.? I'm around Jacksonville and would like a local source. Thanks and thanks for all your vids.

@@SailingInRealLife-v7b Thank you for watching ! The Boatswain's Locker on Lakeside drive made the Dodger and my mainsail cover. 👍 I'm pretty happy with the results.
