Dreams of an Absolution (8-bit Arrangement)

UPDATE- I've received a few messages regarding the "authenticity" of this piece. To clarify, no, it is not an official "chiptune" as I am not using any type of direct chip emulation software, rather, synthetic 8-bit replication plug-ins within an advanced midi software. Sorry for any confusion- it's only meant to sound like 8-bit. (same goes for any compositions or covers on this channel that replicate chip sounds)

I'll give you that. A lot of my work, especially my earlier pieces, were very hybridized- using various different synths to try and get some experimental sounds. This song in particular was the first I'd ever done in a "X-bit" arrangement style. A lot of the main instruments are indeed 8-bit, as they come from the YMCK 8-bit replicator plug-in. But some instruments, particularly the drums, are actually higher fidelity drum synths that I used bit-crushing on to try and make sound less real and more artificial. Knowing what I know now, I could've done a lot more to give it a more artificial sound. But alas, that's the learning curve! That being said, I do thank you for listening, and hope that the varying instrument fidelities didn't detract from your enjoyment!
