In this flight we take a look at the beautiful new Manila Bay, Philippines by CLi4D Designs. It's a gorgeous area of scenery with plenty to explore and we take the Cowan Simulation 500E up to take in some of it, and for me to get some more practice in it!

This looks gorgeous and is exactly the type of scenery I like to fly around. The H369/MD500 is my all-time favourite helicopter and I love to fly it fast and low around the Caribbean and Windward Islands in VR and take in those amazing emerald and turquoise seas in the coves and beaches. I find the Cowan MD500 a dream to fly using my floor standing Thrustmaster Warthog with goose-neck extension and especially after I recently bought the VIRPIL Rotor Plus Base collective with their Hawk-60 grip. If you are serious about flying helicopters in flight sims then these are a must and have incredible build quality, it's improved my flying abilities in DCS, MSFS and X-Plane exponentially and since getting them a few weeks ago I've hardly been fling anything other than helicopters since 😉

Wonderful video Rob (Dreams, that feels more normal for me). Personally I’ve been flying the EC135 alot as well as the DA42. I need to fly the 500E and D a bit more. Though your 500E looks different to mine.

Very nice scenery 😂if it only was available for Xbox. I fly the 500E 90% of the time and it is incredible fun to fly. Feels like you are sitting extremely low in the cockpit. Lately I have switched to the Shrike 530F because it handles better in hover and ground effect. It also feels like it has more weight to it. I have watched many real 500E videos when they are working on power lines. It seems to be extremely stable in hover and n real life. More like the 530F in the sim.

The two 500s we have in the sim really represent a choice by the devs and probably also the interpretation of the pilots that tested them. The 500 series is very nimble, but also does not have hydraulic boosted controls. I feel like the CS 500E tries to maintain the nimbleness, but you loose the stiff/stable feel of the non-boosted controls. Then the Milviz 530F tries to replicate the stiff/stable controls but you loose some nimbleness. Either way they are both excellent. Keep practicing, stay ahead of the aircraft and the PIOs will go away as it eventually “clicks”

Many thanks.! I am using Rex Accuseason Advanced. It gives you more accurate foliage for season and location and you can also adjust tree height with it.
