Thank you sir! I recently bought this machine used for the other sleeping room and googled how to change these settings to adapt it for me and my mistake was to google it in German. All I could find was comments like „this is strictly forbidden“ and „go to your service partner“ and „you need experts to change the settings“. Again, thank you for making life a bit easier.

Thanks for this info, question, i find online that there is an option of auto shut off when you remove the mask from your face, so you shouldn't need to press any button, i don't find this setting un the advanced settings nor the regular, any help with that?

Thanks for helping me get the settings corrected. The "know-it-all" clinician always treats everyone as if they are new to CPAP. I've never needed Flex or Ramp in the last 13+ years and was able to turn them off. You also helped me correct the range that my ENT and I had discussed after the 90 day visit years ago. What SD card do I buy to record the data? It looks like a good old PCMCIA card.

Yes, I believe they recommend the Scandisk cards and at least 32 in size I believe.

Thank you for the video! I received my replacement today, finally!! My mask is Fisher & Paykel Opus 360 (nasal pillow), but I would like to use the mask type number setting. Would you know what number would be best if compared to a similar Philips/Respironics mask? Can't find that info anywhere when I look at their masks (they never show the packaging on the photos). Like is there a typical number for nasal pillow masks that is best?

I’m in an area with very poor cell service. How do I check the signal strength of my modem. I’m concerned about sending data through the modem. They should have put a modem in that the user has the option to turn off if they desire. The Dreamstation 1 had the option of removing the modem. I liked that. If they needed to do a study on me I could plug it in and after 30 days unplug it again for privacy. I just went ahead and totally disabled the one on my Dreamstation 2. I don’t like nosey people.

You should be able to disable the modem for airplane mode. You can also use Bluetooth if you do not have good reception.

Hi, thank you for the information. I had a Dreamstation that was replaced in the recall with a Dreamstation 2. It has worked fine, paired with my iPhone 11 with the Dreammapper app. I have a new phone, iPhone14 pro max, and can't pair the Dreamstation 2 with the iPhone 14 now. I can't even pair it with the old phone that it always worked fine with. The blue tooth feature keeps turning off. I start the pairing, and then receive a message that pairing failed because I didn't enter numbers shown. No numbers are shown to be entered, and no place to enter numbers. I also have a airmini for travel, and was able to pair it with the new phone. Any ideas or help is appreciated. Thank you. Mary

That is kinda strange. Have you tried unistalling and reinstalling the dreammapper app?

yes, deleted the app from both phones, new and old, unplugged dreamstation, installed the app on the new phone, nothing has worked, even tried to pair the old phone again, and that doesn't work either. Out of ideas! @@CPAPmyway

No issue with mine, and it's a nice size for travel, but my brother got the nice 12 mm heated hose with his recall replacement, and all I got was a standard 15 mm hose. Had to order the heated one at $29.99.

My machine was on 12 and I pushed something wrong and it is on 4😢 I have had sleep studies and I am supposed to have 12. How do I change it to the proper number? This was a replacement for a recall so I don't know but I am legit and have had sleep studies (2) and know my maximum setting is supposed to be 12.help!

It would not hurt to set it to the correct mask for sure. I would set that correctly since you know what you are doing.

Received my new DreamStation 2. Provider said to switch the modem from dreamstation1 to the new unit. Do not see any instructions for how to do that.

The modem in the DreamStation 2 is inside the CPAP and does not need to be added in. Unless I am missing something I believe that your provider is wrong. You should be able to give them the new SN and then they can add you to the ChareOrchestrator software for monitoring.

It's strange, I've a DS2 but the screen is not a touch screen and it's 50% smaller. I only found this version on the Belgian site if Philips.

Settings are definitely a question for a Dr. If you have no idea where to start there have been a lot of customers over the years that have left the CPAP in full auto mode 4-20cm, but I would have no idea what pressure you would need specifically.

No Bueno! LOL! It is pretty easy to switch back to English in the menu. Should be one of the main settings, but you will have to do a quick translation on google to figure out which one the Language is.

I'm trying to find this too. I'm used to it automatically shutting off and with this new one it doesn't automatically shut off. I've seen many people say just shut it off. Thats fine but after years of having auto off, its easy to forget. I will come into the bedroom hours later and its still on. It uses up the water and then reports are not accurate. Hope someone can help with this.

I can't "pair" my DS2 app with my DS1 app on my cell following instructions given by phillips I used my cell phone as the device to pair and everything works until I get to "begin using." It searches for about 30-40 seconds, and then gives me a message "select an accessory," and have no idea what that means. Finally says it can't pair. Tried this at least 3-4 times and the only thing I can think of is 1) it never asks for a PIN and/or "Pair," or 20 the Bluetooth in not in the On position on the CPAP and I don't know how to determine if it's on or off. I have really disliked the APP since the very beginning bc there is always a bug that's being fixed and I won't have date for 4-5 days and suddenly it will appear. I would never recommend any CPAP by Phillips Resperonics bc of their really bad customer service and the impossibility of connecting with them for support but I am at their mercy since it's the only company my current insurance works with. Should I just delete the app on my phone and download it again and then register my new unit and forget about the old data?

@@jesebsp I went thru the whole menu, and I did not see an auto off function. For me, this is kind of a biggie because I have 2 cats, and sometimes one will step on the button while I'm at work, and then I come home to a CPAP that has been blowing for who knows how many hours.

What is Flex?

Flex is exhalation relief. If you set your flex at 1 and your CPAP is set on a pressure of 8cm. Then you will be exhaling at 7cm. If you bump the flex up to three with the same 8cm setting on your CPAP then you exhale against 5cm. Just makes exhaling easier. Some "old-school" users don't like the feature, but most first timers like it.
