Larry's last years were played with a broken back. Also the year he had both Achilles tendon surgeries. The night of his retirement at The Garden, there was NO GAME.The Garden sold out in 30 minutes for that.

When you guys are deciding which players are greater than other players what do you use to consider it? Do you take into account the physicality of the game at the time, or the changes in rules or penalties or the medical advancements? I don’t really think people should be judged against each other if rules and advancements have drastically changed.

Top 10? He's a lot higher than that. I have Jordan at #1 where he belongs, but I can't think of too many players I'd but as high as Bird, and I am 45 and watched Bird, Magic, and Kareem as a kid and Jordan and Olajuwon as a teenager as well as the other players since then you have seen. Bird was one of the absolute best players ever. Magic and Kareem regarded him as the best player they played against, and he was their nemesis. It's ridiculous to see Magic and Kareem still viewed as being in the top 5 yet clowns are putting Bird at the bottom of the top 10 or questioning if he even is a top 10 player. He was widely regarded as the top 1 or 2 player in the 80s, viewed as the best in the world by many, when he played against Magic and Kareem. He was MVP 3 times in a row and was in 2nd place most of the time when he didn't win. And keep in mind the 80s and 90s were loaded with all-time greats. He beat all of those guys. For his 3 titles, he had to beat Moses Malone, twin towers Olajuwon and Sampson, Magic, Kareem, and James Worthy.

Charles wishes he was as good as Larry. And Charles was an awesome player. 😄 At 6'10"...Larry was a beast. Yeah, I know he's listed at 6'9", but when he's obviously taller than 6'9" Magic...and OTHER NBA players say how BIG Larry was when they stepped on the court against him and SAY he's 6'10"....gotta go with the experts and the eye test. 😄 And Larry isn't really all that slow....in his younger years. He's DELIBERATE. But, if he can do one spin and dunk on a player...well...that's quick enough. 😄

Young bros i enjoy your show but i got to tell you i watched larry bird in the late 70s and until he retired there was no one in his level of hustle determination and a beast with the heart of a warrior remember this in his era there was hard fouls holding i mean it was crazy compared to how it is now soft and look at another video about how he played injured after the 87 season which shortened his carreer and for the 91 season larry played just 45 games the first year jordan finally won his first championship then the following year bird retires just saying and last bird can and would beat kd bird had skill all around plus was also physical himself with injuries kd couldnt handle the physical plays of this years celtics which eliminated the nets just saying. But love what you guys are doin keep up the good job .
