Happy "420" 55th birthday Michael Stephen Portnoy 04/20/67. His dad was a radio DJ and that gave him access to huge amounts of LP's. He developed a preference for Rush, Queen, Led Zeppelin, The Who, Iron Maiden, and the Beatles. Self taught on drums. Son Max plays drums too.

@@feralkitty9378 Concept albums about unsolved murders and ghost guides aren't my cup of tea. If DT really did up their game with that album then they presumably couldn't keep it up as their other albums since don't seem to get many people gushing about them and everything I have heard from them since seems to be a bit bland. Images and Words still sounds as brilliant though as it did when released.

Here we had one, and their way of promoting them was to take out all the long technical parts making them seem like just another band. Thank god my bro hooked me up with full albums and whoa! There it is! They tell you "we want you to fit in but stand apart from the rest" and literally chopped out what wouldve set them apart on the radio and mtv lol i wouldve been a fan earlier if they just let them do what they do and didnt chop things down
