In the 70's my father used one for his train hobby back then he had a foot pedal to the rotary drill to control the speed! So I always wanted one for years and finally got mine the Dremel 3000. What an awesome machine! 👍🏻

Hi Rudy, thanks for watching! That's a cool memory and story to have about your Dad. Are you carrying on the train hobby? Hope you are liking your Dremel 3000.

Has anyone noticed that the speed/power switch is slightly erratic at lower speeds (between 2 & 4)? Mine occasionally won't even start spinning. I have to go back to "power off" and again to 2. Also, once the selector is at 2, the speed seems to change on its own over time. Not by a lot, nevertheless, it's inconsistent, and it keeps increasing on its own. It's my second Dremel. I sent the first one back for exactly that reason. Is that anyone else's experience? Thanks

Got mine for a job I knew needed a dremel. Now I don't regret it! It basically paid for itself on first use!

7:27 Hi. Just want to make it clear. When putting the bit, you mentioned "put it all the way down". But according to Dremel YT video, "do not put any attachments all the way down."

Just bought this. Not sure why but none of the tips will fit in that small hole. It does not get wider if I loosen the collet. It is a fixed size so I cannot use it. I guess I will return it.

While I was using mine the little screw flew out of the mandrel along with the washer and then the little piece that holds it together supposed to be some kind of little rubber nuts eventually it worked its way out of the tip while I was working and got shredded and now I can't find a replacement anywhere any suggestions of what to do in cases like this

Why would you buy a dremel from Michaels? They are literally 40% over priced. Buy an amazon prime membership for one month you can get a dremel 3000 for $54 free shipping with prime membership for a month thats $12 = $68 total. Michaels sells the 3000 for $99...
@Tentegen3 жыл бұрын
@@ehrgeiz5649 1.) I go to Michaels alot because I'm an artist and Michaels shits more deals than a White Castles fanatic. 2.) The deals rack up in the way of points and if you get enough, they give you money off of future purchases. 3.) I got it for a steal of 30 bucks. No membership required.

@@Tentegen but you had to spend a lot to get those points. Not $12 for a one time fee free shipping.

Is it normal for speed 1 to not even fully rotate?
@ToddsGarage2 жыл бұрын
Hi and thanks for watching, I would contact Dremel for assistance with that issue to see if they can help.

Got mine (3000) today. Lower speeds were not even rotates, just a humming sound. It started to rotate at half the slider switch. I'm thinking of returning this asap. My excitement turned into disappointment.

Hi and thanks for watching, I appreciate it. I have a separate video for the EZ Twist nose cap if that is what you are referring to.

Too bad you didn't show how the flanged collar next to the collate, unscrews form the body (EZ Twist) to act like a built in wrench. Check out the official YT Dremel vid to see it in action.
