Dr Berg can you clarify in regards to oils like expeller pressed sunflower oil? Is that still inflammatory if it's expeller pressed or does that not make a difference? I try as best I can to avoid any of the other known inflammatory oils but it's really hard to find certain foods that don't have some type of an inflammatory oil. Sometimes I see expeller pressed and wonder if that's better. Thank you!

8 months ago I was a physical wreck at 48. Overweight and achy. I literally felt like I was 88 not 48. I was also pre diabetic. I started watching Dr Berg and followed his advice. I gave up sugar and carbs (bread, pasta and starchy vegetables) and do intermittent fasting and prolonged fasting and am now fully keto and feel like I am 21 again. I am totally unhooked from sweets and carb foods. It's so easy to do as well.

@@redraven7739 Hi I’m sorry that you’re struggling with sadness. I don’t know what is going on but I know it’s important to get it out with someone professional. sometimes we don’t know what’s making us sad. they will talk with you and you may be able to realize what the problem and how to accomplish whatever you need to feel lifted. I went so low, I almost was not here. I hope regardless of the reasons, you’ll talk to your minister, therapist, psychologist, not psychiatrist bc they’re not able to dig and help only prescribe drugs. I also hope you’re taking VitB, C D n B12. All of these especially D will help lifts your spirits. If the problem is ongoing, help may be the best option. Make sure you get sleep with natural herbs not drugs. Sleep is detrimental for your mental n physical health.

@@redraven7739 I know it will be hard but try getting an exercise regime going like just fast walking. Do it every other day if you can't do it every day. This increases oxygen to the brain and after 2 weeks you'll feel like you've been exercising your brain too. It should make the sadness go away. I'm not a Dr, just someone who's felt the same way you described.

I don.t even think this was really meant for gratitude to start with, the main idea behind this was for you and GOD knows what is best for you. Now are you getting any benefits from it? It is great to fast but what are you eating in your window time? Focus on that, what is something serve at night will completely mess up the purpose of your entire fasting, think about it!

Thank you so much for all of the very valuable information! I am 74 and I am doing pretty well, but my biggest struggle is sugar and it is a constant battle. But I have been doing better going from an A1C from 7.3 to 6.6. All of your videos are so helpful because you give information but you explain things so thoroughly. Please keep up the good work. We all need so much help, especially since sugar is in everything and that 8/10ths of the grocery story is carrying food we shouldn't be eating. Thanks again!!

I was like u. I was an absolute sugarholic. And I would get so weak and shaky if I didn't eat regularly. But from the very first time I ate KETO, I DID NOT get hungry or weak. I was stunned that I could go without eating! I didn't eat for a whole day! Astounding! I have not craved sugar since. In fact, when I ate carbs, they made me want to eat more food. Then I found out u don't have to intentionally eat carbs cuz they tell u u have to. You'll get all the carbs ur body needs just from the KETO diet - without any additional carbs! Nice. Yea!

@@flikajones6109 Thanks for the info. I will have to check out KETO. When my A1C was high, I really worked at eating very simply with no sugar, but after a while, I hit the wall and just couldn't look at another vegetable! I just went back to eating normally, but I know my number will be up again. It is so difficult to change eating habits that have been with you for almost 75 years!

I’m 74 , a few years ago, I was looking very I’ll. I was underweight really life not worth living. I cut out all grains, processed foods, sugar, artificial sweeteners, it’s not a overnight way of life. Sugar was a addiction, my blood sugar dropped constantly I never went anywhere without food. I didn’t know sugar and carbs caused low blood sugar. Now I eat protein and vegetables , my blood sugar never drops. You don’t have to read labels you only eat real foods. I eat vegetables with every meal (yes breakfast). If you fail it’s because your not eating enough vegetables I use fresh and frozen. For lunch I eat a whole dinner plate of salad. My husband doesn’t follow my diet but now eats a huge salad for lunch and is feeling better. Fats are important olive oil, real butter a must. Plus I drink only water with salt, potassium added. I do take lots of supplements. This is the first time in my life that I feel normal . You can do this, my diet was so bad. To make cooking easy I do most of my vegetables in the oven season with salt ( Redmond Real salt delicious) and olives oil. Don’t give up its so worth it to feel good.

Be kind to you. No guilt. Forget yesterday. Start over. One day. Maybe again next week. If you are working outside the home TOO, delay breakfast till break time. One day. Maybe again next week. Poof! You've accomplished ONE. WHat the hey...Go for two. Put some regular days between so it doesn't get hard. Instead of eating right away, do something else. Anything else. Get distracted. You work hard all the time, so be proud of yourself. Tell yourself sugar is icky, that you like your coffee "straight" cuz yer tough. You ARE tough. Sugar seems to be the biggie Dr. Eric emphasizes. Its just ONE thing, not everything all at once.. and not every day. You are worth it. ))).

Hey, I am almost 60 and people say I look in my 40s. When I was your age when I played volleyball tournaments I always wore a wide brimmed CA lifeguard hat. People made fun of my hat. Also wear an spf every day. I regret not putting it on all the way down my neck and to my chest. I show sun damage on my lower neck. Put it on your hands, too. Water-at least 64 oz a day. Eat Whole Foods-fresh fruits and vegetables, cultured foods and drinks for your micro biome, and all of the great supplements Dr. Berg recommends. Exercise-don’t beat yourself up, but keep in good shape, cross-train with a variety of sports and exercises.
