Thank you, Dr Berg! Very useful information indeed. You are a marvel! Synopsis: 1. Reduce sugars and refined carbs - leads to insulin - leads to androgens - also creates zinc deficiency - leads to acne. 2. Reduce grains as Phytic acid lowers zinc and contributes to acne. 3. Eliminate seed oils (Corn, Grapeseed, Soy, etc) so Omega-6 levels come down. Use Olive, walnut, coconut, almond, avocado oils instead. 4. Take Cod Liver Oil, Vit D3 15K - 20K nightly, Zinc 50 mg nightly to correct deficiency and help remove acne. 5. Intermittent Fasting - Eat from 12 noon to 6 pm and fast 18 hrs after that to rid body of wastes and reduce sebum. 6. To this I would add my own advice: Vit C powder 1/3 tsp in water and Apple Cider Vinegar 2-3 x day to flush out toxins.

I'm surprised this wasn't mentioned, but vitamin E helps tremendously with blackheads. Blackheads are caused by sebum oxidation and vit E is the antioxidant that is most abundant in sebum. If your sebum oil quality is low then you'll get blackheads. If I notice blackheads, I just increase my vit E and they will be gone in a couple days.

I had terrible acne back in the 1970's. My mom took me to our country doctor. He advised me to wash my face with Dove bar soap, then massage ~a tsp of cod liver oil on my face, then apply cream with a cotton ball (we had our own cows) and let dry. Twice a day. I was to use Dove soap only any time I washed my face. He said he didn't know why this regime worked, only that it did. Now we know cod liver oil has omega 3's, the cream has lactic acid & Dove is moisturizing, not drying like regular soap. The results were amazing and I use & share his advice to this day for beautiful skin.
