Risk factors for erectile dysfunction include: • Aging • Smoking • Drinking • Obesity • Diabetes • Stress • Heart disease • Inflammation Here are four natural remedies that can improve erectile dysfunction: 1. Fasting (increases nitric oxide) 2. Herbal PDE5 inhibitors (horny goat weed, forskolin, black ginger) 3. Exercise (weight training) (with rest in between) 4. Low-intensity shockwave therapy (Li-ESWT) Thank you Dr Berg🐱👍🏿

Ok I’m 50 now and I’ve never had a problem with getting hard and staying hard. Now that I’ve turned 50 it seems like a big problem now. I live a healthy lifestyle don’t drink that often maybe once a month don’t smoke anything. No drugs. No heart problems. I exercise 5 times a week. I can’t take nitric oxide because of gout. Caffeine and horny goat weed work as a stimulant if they’re put together and I get the bad jitters. I sleep very well my stress level is manageable. I don’t know what up now

Stress is a MAJOR cause of ED !!! I had trouble getting an erection when i was only 24 ! (Between 24 and 25 years old more or less). When I quit my job at 25 years old : my erection gradually went back to normal. I'm now 31 and I have no ED at all. I later figured out that my job between 24 and 25 was the most stressful job I have ever had with a very very toxic manager and lots of pressure + overwork. High stress levels might literally cause you temporary erectile dysfunction even at very young age. Conclusion : eat healthy and get your stress levels under controle.

If you sit around all day, or if you are in bed for too long, also if you just stand all day, it will work against you sooner than later. You need to be active, rest, and be active again, also stay active, move around, go places, avoid screen time, get plenty of sleep at night and not during daylight hours. Exercise helps, walking, jogging, running, jumping, climbing, swimming, brachiation, all of this produces results within just a few months of daily consistency, and definitely avoid all soy and flax derivatives like the plague.

Remember that soy is unique in that it contains a high concentration of isoflavones, a type of plant estrogen (phytoestrogen) that is similar in function to human estrogen, however flax is even more potent, so that's why I mention it too.

Some people, a few it seems, are blessed with great bodily functions in spite of the Standard American Diet; sounds like you're one of them. My MD DR told me he's had old men tell him they have no problem with ED. I swear for me, everything is stacked against me: Sugar, carbs, GMO's, toxins, glyphosate, lack of sleep, etc... At any rate, a person would do well to heed Dr. Berg's advice for overall health including sexual function. If Big Agra is to blame for our poor quality of food, intentionally or not, it certainly seems they don't care. It's about yield, not nutrition.

Okay my 2 cents. I am 60 yrs old and I have no problems with ED....anymore. When I was 40 yrs I started getting intermittent ED. I went to the doctor and he found that I had low Testosterone. I was fit and exercised 4 times a week. After doing my research I tried most herbal remedies available, some quite expensive. I admit many had a positive effect particularly Tongkat Ali. L-Arginie/L-Citriline also had some effect on erection quality but it didn't seem to stay in my system very long (a few hours for the Nitro boost). The amino acid also doesn't work as well to boost nitro as you get older. So what did I do that changed everything (for me anyway); I cleaned up my diet. It isn't just what you are eating but also what is missing from a person's diet that makes a huge difference. These few changes made all the difference, if I leave one thing out I notice the difference. 1) eat spinach or Kale Everyday. One salad can vastly increase Nitrates for up to 48 hours. 2) Take Magnesium regularly 3) Zinc 4) Vitamin D. I started eating a couple hands full of mixed nuts and Pistachios everyday to get many of the nutrients listed as well as taking supplements. At 60 yrs old I have the libido and erections of a much younger man and better than when I was 40 yrs. Your milage may vary.

I took viagra for a short while in my early 50's. Then I went Carnivore to deal with a digestive issue. After 5 weeks on a strict Carnivore diet, I was taking ZERO medications, _including_ viagra. I ditched HBP meds, benzos, viagra, Nexium, and Trianex. I had two meals a day inside an 8 hour window ( _sometimes a 6 hour window_ ). I ate grassfed/finished ribeye with salt and drank water for the first 2 weeks. Then I moved to ribeye, t-bones, brisket, beef ribs, prime rib, hamburger, liverwurst, beef liver, bacon, eggs, butter, sardines, salmon, cod liver in oil, and salt for the following 3 weeks. I was symptom free at the end of 5 weeks, taking zero medications. I stayed full Carnivore for 6 months. Then I began adding some plants back, slowly, a little at a time, starting with sauerkraut, then arugula, then beet greens, then turnip greens, then mustard greens, then spinach ( _but I quit the spinach after I had an inflammatory reaction to it._ ). Today I am KETO / IF and am still on zero meds. My bloodwork has been exceptional, my BP is great. My triglycerides are great. I feel better now than I did in my 40's.

Here's another less talked about reason: Dailymail, 1 Oct 2022: REVEALED: The hidden epidemic of sexual dysfunction which experts blame on SSRI antidepressants Dr. Berg if you plan in the future to do a video about PSSD that would be greatly appreciated by our community and people in general since antidepressant's prescriptions is still growing and undoubtedly many more victims gonna get their life crippled by this syndrome, which is currently being ignored and denied by medical community. Effective cure or treatment to manage the symptoms is also non-existent so suicides and broken relationships is sadly too common. This topic needs and urgent discussion and transparency about the true risks of SSRI/SNRI medications.

He was in complete denial of the severity of his condition and hadn't had an erection big enough to penetrate in 7 years. Maca supplements seem to work well for acute ED, which I think most men experience at some point as they get into their 40s. It includes L-arginine, but for some people it weakens their immune system. For those with persistent viral infections (including herpes), it can trigger outbreaks. Ultimately, the basics like working out, good sleep, and simply having your life in order (low stress) are the best place to start. There is good evidence intermittent fasting improves overall T and free T. Also, lay off the porn.

Estrogen levels also play a significant role in ED. Some that are on testosterone therapy don't realize that any excess testosterone will be converted to estrogen. Estrogen dominance not only causes ED but also makes PDE5 inhibitors less effective. It also increases risk dramatically for stroke and/or cardiac related events. Some on TRT also take an anti-estrogenic med but there is caution there also as too low estrogen will cause total ED or impotence and it takes significant time to restore that condition. The "sweet spot" for estrogen levels in men are 20-34 pg/ml.

I read an article about ED and cycling a few years ago, but it had something to do sitting on your prostate and over time it damages the nerves, i did not research more than that because i don't cycle; it was enough for me to keep a mental note that if i ever wanted get into cardio as a prolonged hobby then it wont be cycling

I'm 39 and I'm having a problem sustaining one. I can sustain it longest while laying down but the moment I get on my knees it literally goes away. This has been a gradual thing until it just stopped. By weight standards I am fat however I work out daily and fit. I do have hypertension and take beta blockers for that condition and it's never been a problem in the 10+ years I've used them. I wonder if it's mostly psychological because I feel like I've been desensitized and nothing truly excites me anymore. This could be stress caused from work or I'm going through a mild depression. Your video has given me some insight on the matter and I thank you.

In my forties I got on Viagra. At 50I said, no more of living this way. I stopped engaging in negative conversations. Stopped watching TV, stoped the negative thinking. Let go of the past. Started living in the present. Sleep returned, migraines gone, gout gone, blood pressure dropped to normal, now all that just didn't happen by being in a peaceful state. Nope, I did my research on my past, the times growing up at home. We are organic, lived on a ranch. Also, growing up. I ate only one meal a day. But I have an issue with my gut, eating like everyone around me. Who were also over weight, on meds, complaining about things they were never going to change. So, I did my research in foods. Got my gut in shape. Pooping returned to normal. Yes!!! And my libido goes through the room, lol. Serious though, by always being clam, my gut, heart and brain all aligned with one another. A few passes and the girl Im having lunch with says, What are you doing? You look younger! When I told her. She couldn't do it. It's a lifestyle change. Gonna lose friends that like to talk negative all the time. It's a much better life, now.

as for cardiovascular disease, 80% of the world population over 45 has cardiovadcular disease. I use viegen olive oil to reduce inflammation. I take cardioaspirine daily regular excercise, and L'Arginine to clean up your blood vessels., cortisol & (epinephrene) has to be controlled. again Olive oild first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. This dilate blood vessels help and increases blood flow, hence swelling goes down.

Sociobiology plays a big part (that "certain something" between the sexes). Not studied scientifically as far as I know, til the 1990's. It's not always the most attractive person. There are known & unknown cues that result in healthier, more disease-resistant offspring - i.e.complimentary immune systems. Nothing to do with similar tastes, world views, goals, "life compatibility". Lack of this understanding must be a big cause of many broken relationships.

This was a detailed and impressively well-researched video! Often we don't appreciate what we have until it's gone, yet if you don't have it to begin with this makes it somewhat livable strangely; i.e a physical state of asexuality. Knowing that we have these kinds of treatments available to us makes the idea of surgery and pharmaceuticals appear less of a requirement, just as I feel it should be, allowing us to pursue it as a last resort. Keep up the exemplary work that you do and thank you for helping educate so many on an endless array of topics!

Millions of men use pharmaceutical meds and many of those contribute to ED. Statins, for example...the most popular one is made by the same company that makes Viagra and also had record profits over the last couple of years. Beyond these physical contributors are the mental ones: excess stress, anxiety (especially over performance), lack of intimacy in aging relationships, etc. I help men address these psychological factors with hypnosis and it helps!

Just a small correction. 1)Shock wave therapy does not cure directly the inflammation. It improves the micro circulation of the blood thus the inflammation. We use it for enlarge prostate problems as well and it works nearly in 70% of the patients. 2) be careful with fastening. Most of the times fastening lucks specific minerals and vitamins and we can end up having more problems with Ed than before. Thank u very much for ur video, looking forward for the next one..!!!😊

Stress is definitely a mental thing. It's an emotional response to a perceived threat whether big or small, or sometimes it is the result of overwork. Moderate work activities if you can. Learn to control your emotions. A good way to do that is learning how to focus through meditation, yoga, or any other activity that gives you inward focus. Self-awareness is the key to anything.

Yes you need dopamine to have an erection, Dopamine is the main neurotransmitter in the CNS and facilitates sexual motivation, copulation and genital reflexes 1, 16. Dopamine, thought to be of importance for erectile function, is localized in the MPOA and the PVN of the hypothalamus and the nucleus accumbens.
