This is good advice. So many young people today dress for failure. When I go for a job interview I always wear a suit. When I do orientation or any other job related functions, shirt and tie because I was raised old school like this. Most of the time I see people 5 + years younger wearing casual to both things. Not good for them.

I love the life lessons you guys pass on… I lost my father in my 20s and he was struggling with alcoholism in my younger years so some stuff that father shares with son are things I wish I had shared with my father.

He's like that Dad I never had, proper attire everything in his environment seems well rounded and put together. Having a father with ethics like this and who is willing to take the time to share and show you the ropes is extremely underrated. Love it.

That's the problem with all these guys who try to be 'alpha' lol they're trying too hard to prove something, and it just comes off as compensation for some insecurity they have. Strong quiet types have way more inner power than people who beat their chest and care what everyone thinks

It’s interesting I would go jeans and a collared shirt with a jacket as opposed to slacks and a t shirt. Maybe it is a west coast thing. I always go dark jeans. Slacks feel so formal.

Have an interview for a sales position today in T minus 10 hours. Father wasn't around in life. First thing I looked up was this video to get fatherly advice. Even if you don't have much to do, even if you're sitting at the house, working from home. I find that if I feel lousy, getting dressed helps me to feel more motivated to get things done.
