Could you talk a little about the middles? For example, right but in between up and down, or up but in between right and left

I was thinking maybe I did a diagonal mix up and labeled myself down left when I’m really up right. These videos confirmed it! I loved the dress up game!!!! That helped so much. And you explained so well the emotional conflicts of this type

I love this video, Rita. Thank you for sharing it with us. You've made me realize how often I erase myself when trying to dress casually. I especially do this subconsciously around potential new friends because I want them to see me as a warm and nice person, and I don't want to seem intimidating, but it ends up just hiding part of my personality 🌸
@StyleThoughtsbyRita2 жыл бұрын
I notice this a lot with right+up folks! You don't need to prove that you're warm and approachable! I promise that it will come through if you just allow yourself to be yourself 🌸

I think you're more likely to look "overdressed" when you're still a fashion amateur. It takes time and practice to be able to combine a lot of elements in a cohesive and communicable way. At first, I felt a little silly and like I stood out too much. But now I am "dressed up" everywhere and people seem to accept it everywhere.
@StyleThoughtsbyRita2 жыл бұрын
Definitely! I think there is a learning curve for embodying essence just as there is for learning about colors or Kibbe or whatever!

I am excited about your workshop! I always enjoy pouring through the comments on your videos, so if these are the women who are coming I can't wait to hear them pontificate IRL. Right + Up is totally my jam!

I feel soooooo seen by the Right Up philosophy! I've found the struggles with blue jeans to be especially true - I always gravitated to dark denim as a teen & early 20s and by my mid 20s I worked blue jeans out of my wardrobe for good. I think a way to make blue jeans feel more exciting as a Right Up is to add an artistic element. Pant them, replace the pockets with a contrasting fabric, add rhinestones... I remember having a pair of bejeweled jeans as a kid and I am soooooo tempted to recreate them now that Y2K fashion is back lol

Rita, that was a great video! Thank you for reiterating right up desires, sometimes I doubt if it's ok for me to wear more accessories or to think so much about creating outfits... You didn't say much about "radiance" this time but that's the concept I'm lately exploring for my spring-summer wardrobe, especially through shiny metals. I can get away with a lot of simple clothes without looking sloppy (Kibbe Classic), but I ditched grey - it should be ok with my coloring but I think it's wrong for my essence.
@StyleThoughtsbyRita2 жыл бұрын
Yay! Radiance is one of my keywords for sure and it's a beautiful idea to work with ❤

I absolutely love these videos! I only discovered them a couple of days ago but I've binged almost all of them already. I actually have a couple of things that I'm very curious about when it comes to the essences: - What are examples of the different essences for androgynous people (especially Right-down) - How to dress the essences in different Kibbe body types (particularly how to dress a true natural with a right up essence, since the true natural recommendations are to be loose, unstructured and not have a lot of detail which sounds really hard to do in right up) - What styles suit which essence (I'm assuming grunge is more of a left style, for example). Anyways, thanks for your awesome videos!

Great questions perhaps for future videos ❤ I get a lot of qs about androgynous styling so I will try to make a video in the next couple months kibbe natural type/essence is definitely compatible with right+up 🙂

Rita, I have watched you since your very beginning on YT and you have truly transformed your presentation of yourself in a relatively short period of time. Do you think you would have been able to do that without your in person Kibbe consultation? Do you consider it one of the best investments you have made in yourself? Also, do you think you would have the amazing comprehension of the Kibbe styling system that I believe you have without that consultation?
@StyleThoughtsbyRita2 жыл бұрын
Thank you! I do think that working with Kibbe helped me understand the system better! And definitely it is one of the best self-investments I've made If not for kibbe I would have probably done something else big to improve my style because I felt like I was soooo far away from where I wanted to be. I really appreciate the fact that the Kibbe consult was such a big commitment financially and personally for me because it helped me really take a huge style leap! Incremental slow and steady change is really valuable and super important but I was really craving a BIG change instead and getting a whole new wardrobe and look was definitely the perfect thing 💃
@alteredcatscyprus2 жыл бұрын
@@StyleThoughtsbyRita Thank you! 💃I do think you have an amazing grasp of Kibbe and also a talent for applying systems. Some of us are system challenged. While I am fascinated by them I don’t have a great aptitude for applying them, so I am mesmerized by your talent for this. I do think for those of us in the 5’4”-5’5” range Kibbe is extra challenging. If one is tall it narrows it down the kibbegories a lot. I have for now given up on Kibbe but am rewatching videos of your system because I do find them enlightening. I think I always wanted to be right down and am finding up I am much more probably left-to-center up and it’s been very surprising, to say the least. One other thought, I think what you invested in your Kibbe consult is probably a lot less than most of the rest of us have wasted on clothes that didn’t work for us, trying to find ourselves through trial and error.
@leander88402 жыл бұрын
I'd love to see left+down next!
@dennicecisneros2 жыл бұрын
I used to think I was right down and now I’m not so sure anymore lol. All I know is that I am definitely not left down. Is it possible to find your quadrant on looking at the exact opposite position chart wise? So if I’m not left down most likely I am right up? Curious to know your thoughts on that. Also in the workshop would you be able to go over how to style your quadrant with incorporating kibbe lines and recommending stores to shop that would suit that vibe?
@StyleThoughtsbyRita2 жыл бұрын
Yeah I think a lot of people get confused on the diagonals! Tastes are so different between people and brands cater to a variety of body shapes -- i don't have a list of right+up brands for each of 10 kibbe IDs 🌸
