Why is the portal open right before playoffs, we are gonna miss having a experienced backup QB that's an absolute gamer, hope like hell the worst doesn't happen in the playoffs. None of these other Qbs have any game experience. We'll see. WE ARE!!

It's an unfortunate timing thing. Anyway wanting to transfer has to go in now so that they can find a new school/team before spring semester & spring ball starts. If he waits till after the playoffs, QB spots could potentially be filled. It's an all around cluster F of a calendar in December.

He's developing as a QB, and I think it's also in his best interest to return for his senior year. I think Dennis-Sutton should also return. Both running backs, and Abdul Carter should enter the NFL draft.

I suspect what happened is he talked to the NFL and they will give a college player an estimate of where he'd likely be taken in the draft and it was 2 or 3rd round.
