Drew Barrymore seems honestly like the sweetest, most innocent and morally incorruptible person in Hollywood. & knowing what she came from, being addicted to heroin and alcohol before she even became a teenager, emancipating herself after her parents psychologically and financially abused her - and overcoming all of that to lead a healthy life, find hobbies she enjoys like reading and gardening, have, and actively raise, kids. Amazing woman. Truly.

Drew Barrymore reminds me of my mom, but from very different universes. My mom was born poor/working-class in Chicago, a family of factory workers, and Drew was born to the Hollywood elites and has spent her time on the coasts. But both were taken advantage of and abused as genuinely sweet, caring, and trusting girls/young women. Now both have worked through their pasts and try to bring love and support and encouragement to everyone they meet. Drew Barrymore is basically my mom if my mom ever had money and material resources.
