If you read her memoir, she's basically been choosing violence every day since she was 10. It does not seem like a choice. The book starts off sad and just becomes psychotic as she grows up and hones her abilities of manipulation more. She wrongs many people, often her best friends, usually over nothing, and sometimes to the point of physical assault, and consistently frames herself as the victim. Zero reflection or growth. I know she's funny and everything - I liked her before reading the book - but the more I learned about her deeds and worldview, it's honestly pretty villainous.
