This Drew character change feels very Austin esq - KOTR 96 OR Mania 13 as he was never meant to be in either spot . Drew was never meant to be in a world title match at Mania and always felt like would be him vs Priest which they teased at War Games but things are clicking for Drew similar to Austin

This happened so many times with Roman’s reign. So much disappointment. Happened with Sami, Drew, Edge & Bryan, and Cody the 1st time. The fans and wrestlers themselves say the same thing. Heartbreak and disappointment. Bryan decided he was leaving WWE because of how he felt after Roman stacked him and Edge. Dude was endlessly champ. Everyone’s gonna have this rose tinted view looking back. There were times where the blood line was absolutely brutal and repetitive to get through. I actually had my girlfriend and another friend hooked on wrestling but they stopped watching after the 1st Cody loss and never watched again. I even stopped watching for a bit and when I got back into it I didn’t watch a single Roman match after the 1st Cody loss until Wrestlemania 40. And in shoot interviews Roman is never humble or puts anyone over. Alluding to Cody not deserving to be champ and that people’ll will be sick of Cody in no time.
