Imma keep it real: I hated the Staubach/Danny White Cowboys, as I was a Steelers fan, but I love the competitiveness of this team. I had 3 Drew Pearson NFL cards and traded one for Earl Campbell and Billy White Shoes Johnson of the Oilers. Everyone has Roger, Tony Dorsett & Robert Newhouse. There was Too-Tall, Hollywood, etc. Tough squad to beat in the NFC. Plus, there was something "fly" about Tom Landry with the coats and hat...all business!!! Much props!!!

Drew Pearson. A member of the 70s All Decade team. 3 time All Pro. In 1994 was on receiving in of 3 of the top 75 plays in NFL history. 4 if you count clearing block for Dorsett's 99 yard run. How many of those does Andre Reed have? If the great Roger Staubach credits Drew for getting him to the HOF I think that says something. Played in 3 SBs winning 1.

When I grew up a cowboys fan in the 70s bob lilly was called Mr dallas cowboy. But as a fan drew pearson was Mr dallas cowboy. The td from lonely on thanksgiving day In 74 gave cowboys a winning season. Reason they 20 straight winning seasons. Hail mary from RS in 1st round po in 75 reason we got to SB 10.which meant 5 sbs in a decade. Only team thus far to do that. In 80 1st year starter danny white 2 tds final 3 minutes put us in the championship ship game. And SO MANY sideline catches over the years keeping key drives alive in so many games. He was absolutely inevitable. If the game was 100 to nothing dallas behind. Drew pearson would still believe he could win.
@noeltaylor35943 жыл бұрын
Randy Moss or Terrel Owens? Oh, please. Neither one. If I need a play, one catch over the middle, it's going to 88 from Dallas anyday of the week. I'm sorry. I saw all their careers. Hell, I saw Ron Sellers when he originally wore #88 and made that catch in the '72 playoff game. Drew Pearson is THE most clutch wide receiver to ever play in the league. Mayve Swann and Rice, but Drew is right there on par with them when a catch is needed.
