Im a part of the Surfing industry in Caliornia. I make all the logos that go under the fiberglass on boards. One of my favorite customers is Clyde Beatty Jr. His Dad owned the Circus you bought the posters for. Clydes surfboard business is not too far off from a Circus either! Must be in the blood. 🤣

Really bugs me when someone says they want to sell something and then say “not for sale” when asked the price. For me, that’s the equivalent of taking a carload of stuff to market and then telling anyone that asks about it, not for sale.

@@ferraridinoman I think it's also the moment hitting them that they'll look at the piece and realize that they won't see it again and in that moment they take back their offer and don't sell.

No more circuses in America with animals save possibly dogs and horses. I remember being excited to see the Russian Circus in Moscow in the 1980’s and being so surprised that the high wire and trapeze artists wore safety belts.

So, I don't get it. If there is so much profit to be made off the lamps, why didn't he but the wash bin? I've been in the re-sale business for over 30 yrs. What I do in cases like this, is to figure my total cost. Then divide it how I want into what I bought. That way, I don't miss out on unique items that are borederline in price.

These people who are selling these items need to learn to ask drew, well after he restores the items what would he sell them for, that gives them an idea of what price they could ask for the items especially on the Roman Souvenir, stateing that it's worth $2,500.00 and he's on going to give them $200.00 for it

Stingy? No clue the framing of the posters alone was probably $300-$400? Cost of purchase and restoring the lamp, that would have been lost forever in a storage room, cost $3,500. Do you have a clue of what their weekly payroll is?
