Have you ever seen that viral internet meme of the guys dancing with coffins at a funeral? Well, the group is from Accra, Ghana, and I was able to track them down the other day and tell you their unbelievable story of how it all started.
The main guy, Benjamin Aidoo, first got the idea to turn a funeral into a celebration about 20 years ago, and today it has grown into a massive business with over 100 people working for him.
Benjamin and the guys have a really interesting perspective about death. Instead of mourning the deceased, they decide to make it a huge celebration to bring happiness to their lives. What do you guys think about this concept?
What an amazing experience to meet the viral coffin dancers and learn about their lives. I have a feeling that this won't be the last time you will see them!

My lesson from this : CRY FOR THE LIVING , NOT THE DEAD Edit: my statement doesn’t mean you shouldn’t grieve when you loose loved ones ... we are hurt when we loose loved ones and it’s normal. What I’m trying to say is to care more for the living than the dead. The dead are dead and gone and have probably found peace. It is us who live in this world filled with so much anxiety, wickedness, greed , natural disasters, pandemics and even pain (as a result of loved ones we have lost ), etc. who need empathy and sympathy . On the other hand (for people who might interpret this too) , that is not to say go commit suicide or that you’re better dead than alive 🤭 once there is life , there is hope for any situation you might find yourself in. Keep pushing!

Everyone comes for a purpose in this universe. Once that purpose is done they go to rest. Death should be celebrated rather than mourned. Death is the peace that nothing else in this universe can provide. Death is never painful. Ever wonder what death feels like? Try to remember what you feel when you are in deep sleep. That is the peace people get after death. Amen.
