Austria did not get all the ethnically Austrian (German) lands in the empire after WWI. They lost the Sudetenland to Czechoslovakia, other territories to Italy and many ethnically German enclaves to Hungary, Romania, etc. This was actually used by a certain Austrian as a cause for conflict with Czechoslovakia before the start of WWII. Edit: Not trying to justify the man, of course not. He was a piece of garbage.
