5:00 the west side of Washington doesn’t handle light ice well. The east side and people who live near the mountains experience much colder weather (not Alaska cold but cold enough to where people are able to learn to drive in the snow at home). Of course, most people live near Seattle and in the west side in general so rainy weather and evergreens for all (even though like a third of the state is almost a desert)

Funnily, blue and white is also the flag of the city-state of Krakow, which was effectively the only remaining part of sovereign polish territory from 1815 to 1846 after the 3rd partition of Poland.
