Donde esta la biblioteca is a meme out of the tv show Community, which is where it was popularized. The phrase is one of the first phrases usually learnt in Spanish, and the show joked about it with a rap called Donde esta la biblioteca. I believe this is where it comes from but I am not sure

8:55 The Dutch did kinda help the Americans too, just not as much as the French and Spanish. They also had a separate conflict with Britain at the time, the Fourth (and final) Anglo-Dutch War, fought mainly over trading colonies in India and Sri Lanka. Another conflict was also going on in India at the time, the First Anglo-Mysore War. Which, even if you exclude the American Independence and Fourth Anglo-Dutch wars happening simultaneously, was much more of a fair match than you would expect, as the Mysorians were, if not the inventors, than at least an early adopter of the Indian gunpowder technology of iron-cased rockets, and were also one of the few if not the only ones to mount those on elephants when fighting their wars. Both the Fourth Anglo-Dutch and the First Anglo-Mysore wars ended in stalemates, IIRC

The Netherlands got on England's bad side during the war as the country refused to stop trading with the rebellious colonies. This started the fourth Anglo-Dutch war in which the English crushed the Dutch and forever ending their status as a super power. The first foreign power to recognize the US after it's declaration of independence was a Dutch governor of the island of Eustasius where it answered a salute by the USS Andrew Doria.

The Netherlands was part of the trio of countries which supported the American Patriots versus Britain. But where the French and Spaniards sent actual military forces, the Dutch helped finance the Revolution with loans. Congress sent Benjamin Franklin to France, where he charmed and schmoozed the French. They sent the dour John Adams to the Netherlands, where he sat down and they talked numbers and cold, hard facts. The ideal men for each job. Swedish policy was determined by its rivalry with Denmark. The two big, western maritime powers of the Netherlands and Britain didn't want either Sweden or Denmark to dominate Scandinavia, so they'd put their thumb on the scales any time either side -- mostly Sweden -- seemed to be winning. Or the UK would support one Norse power and the NL supported the other. It just so happened the Dutch and Swedes were friendly at a time when the Dutch Navy was in decline versus the Royal Navy, so Sweden was seconding the Netherlands' pro-American policy.

Brazilian independence was very different from the other countries in South America. The Portuguese royal family came in running away from Napoleon in 1808. They left in 1821, but left the crown prince to rule over here, but he declared Brazilian independence in 1822 and ruled until his father's death, in 1831, when he returned to claim Portugal's throne and left his 4 year old son to rule under a regency.

You really need something showing both in comparison in each country. And yeah, more people world wide do use Android (including me) but I don't think "Completely dominates" is correct at the moment. I would also be interested to know why, if it has to do with Apple phones generally being more expensive or if there are other reasons. I use a CAT phone since my work kills of most phones and those are as close as indestructible you can get if you don't count those old Nokia bricks from the late 90s but I don't think that is the most common reason to use Android.

9:00 In 1780, during the independence War, the Spanish-French Fleet under Luis de Cordova captured an English fleet heading to America and managed to lead it to Cádiz. His fleet with 27 ships under his command, captured a rich British convoy of 57 frigates loaded for the English army in North America and India, escorted by three War frigates. This logistical blow has remained the greatest ever suffered by the Royal Navy: he captured one of the largest and richest convoys ever to leave Portsmouth. The number of ships and men captured, as well as the amount of more than 1 million pounds sterling in bullion and gold coins that passed into Spanish hands, caused heavy losses on the London Stock Exchange, seriously damaging the important finances that the Kingdom of Great Britain maintained to be able to sustain the distant wars that it waged. King George III suffered a fainting spell when he received the news, not only because of the blow to the state coffers, but because he had just lost a significant sum of his own assets that, advised by his secretary, he had invested in 3 securities on the London stock market.

The New York delegation to the Continental Congress never received instructions from Albany on how to vote and so, "New York abstains -- Courteously." Watch the movie "1776." Sherman Edwards was a Revolutionary War buff. He was a New Yorker, a jazz musician, and part of the Brill Building and Broadway crowd. For his own amusement, he wrote songs about the American War of Independence and regaled his friends at parties, who told him he should turn it into a musical. So he did. Because Edwards was a hardcore history buff, he gets the stories, attitudes, and details right. Studio mogul Jack Warner made the Broadway success into a movie, and the film "1776" (1972) is that Hollywood rarity which is actually an excellent history lesson, on par with, say, "Tora, Tora, Tora" (1970) and "Zero Dark Thirty" (2012).

"biblioteca" probably comes from Greek "bibliothiki" (βιβλιοθήκη), where "biblio-" means book and "-thiki" means container. "Library" literally means "Container for Books". Since Greek where adopted in both western and eastern Roman empires, many of ancient texts where written in Greek, Cyrilic alphabet was developed by East Roman priests (that explains the term appearing in slavic countries) and the Renaissance saw many people studying Greek, thus it makes sense than many places in Europe adopted the Greek root term instead of the Latin one.
