I don’t know how it gets much better than fishing a small creek like this. Nothing else matters when you’re in this environment. Whatever you have weighing on your mind is irrelevant. You’re completely oblivious to anything else happening around you because it’s the essence of being in the moment. Great footage. Bravo.

So that's why I have the nature hang out, not as expensive....might have seen it in the Fly fishing the lower mountain fork in Ok, and the new drift boat vid from Missouri. I love it...quick to set up, take down, great when there are trees but not level ground...like the Ozarks. I sleep great in mine...all the fresh air and circulation is nice. Obviously you lack some privacy and really extreme weather isn't fun...but a light shower isn't bad. In the MO vid is rained all night, 6 inches and I was dry! Had it for about 5 years

I live in the driftless area and fish it a lot. I’ve always dreamed about heading out west to fish mountain streams just for the change of scenery. I’m afraid I might be disappointed though. Do you have any suggestions or comments on the difference?
@LooknFishy3 жыл бұрын
Imo you won't be disappointed but really depends on your fishing personality. I love both but for completely different reasons. The west is more of an adventure or can be! Sometimes just getting to a remote stream can take hours or even an over night stay. The scale is crazy. The landscape crazy. You can easily find areas where you'll never see a house, car, road or hear civilization. Wilderness areas that can only be accessed my foot or hoof! The driftless to me is great fishing and I appreciate the ease if access but I never really feel isolated or like I'm off the grid. But after spending time out west, it's nice to just go fishing and it not be an adventure. Of course, there are easier streams to access out west if you prefer...I just head that way for the remoteness!

Curious about the properties in the driftless. Is it mostly public land you’re on, or is it private? When it’s private, do you just stay in the water while you fish, or do you ask permission from the owner?
@LooknFishy3 жыл бұрын
I only fish public water which is mostly easements purchased through different organizations. Water access differs from state to state so it's best to check the state 's dnr site for specifics...don't want to pass on inaccurate info.
