This song still holds up to the test of time. Man Stonehill can make an acoustic rock like no one else.

I am married to a woman who wears this song like a glove. Thirty-plus years of marriage and she's still "running" from repentance and obedience to God's word..

This was the first Randy Stonehill song I ever heard in a Billy Graham movie Run Baby Run. And then low and behold he came to ICTHUS in Wilmore KY shortly after the movie. This was of course back in the 70's, could not get enough of him, keep cranking out the music and hope to see him back in the Kentucky someday!

Me too. Still like his voice and music. Thought I heard him on radio a while ago, but it was the Bare Naked Ladies - Pinch Me. Sounds very similar.

this concert took place at Calvary chapel in costa mesa California. I saw it live on TV. I met him in Montclair in 1977. Very sincere in his faith and was best friends with my wife's cousin Larry Norman.

I grew up in that church, with Chuck Smith. What is now the bookstore used to be the old sanctuary. The good old days.

I'm not compromising my soul for anyone. My soul is my own and God's, bought with the blood of Jesus so no-one else has any rights to it.

All you need to make great music is a talented singer & acoustic guitar -- no need for any 4th of July light shows or outrageous antics. We'd probably end up in the hospital with weeks of PT for our hands if we played like that!

@thomasa62 - No. I'm closer to God than I have ever been. I found one can never truly run away from God.
