The thing about Angelina is that she has a keen eye on subtlety. She knows what works and doesn't over do it. Whether it's the make-up, fashion style, hair, public appearances, interviews, she goes for minimalistic approach. Never over the top and outrageous. So, naturally, she's enhanced her face with very subtle changes and hasn't ended up with some unrecognizable look.

I've always thought her more defined features are due to the weight loss (around her hysterctomy & breast removal period) & due to this the bones pop-up more (jaw, cheekbones, collar-bones, etc.). Even her eyes have that hollowness after losing facial volume as well through those years. I think she did her nose, but the rest are just cosmetic non-invasive procedures for maintaining her current/best look. She lost a bit of a volume in her lips too. I wish she gains a bit of weight in order to look fresher and softer. She looks somewhat tired and sad now. :/

Yes, strong jaws, high cheekbones and square chins age very well. My mother has them and she has been mistaken for someone 20 years younger all her life. It's also very, very helpful to stay thin if you have those features. They'll take you through your forties and fifties looking great. And facelifts also look better on people with those features.

She doesn't have high cheekbones, her cheekbones are low. Why? Take a look at her face, see how the cheekbones are much closer to the nose than the eyes. This is an indicator of low cheekbones. People often confuse prominent cheekbones with high cheekbones. If she had high cheekbones the bulge created by the cheekbone would be closer to the eyes and the upper part of the nose. Plus lower cheekbones tend to produce square faces like Angelina has

That's the jawline. Wide, angular jaws, square. Pointy, narrow jaws, heart, etc. Her cheeks look "prominent" because she's getting older and her malar fat pads are starting to slip. She’s done a wonderful job of maintaining her looks without over doing it. We do know that she’s had plastic surgery done, especially since she’s been very open about the choice she made to remove her natural breast tissue and have breast augmentation to replace it. She’s on record saying that there’s a history of breast cancer in her family and she wanted to mitigate the possibility of going through that. In terms of facial surgery I’d say while it’s noticeable, the results are very natural and she hasn’t crossed that bridge into either the uncanny valley or the obviously fake territory.

When I hear the doctor talk about aging and maintaining that beauty it breaks my heart. Because all many people want to do is stay who they are; who they have been their whole life! You make it sound so tragic. But you have to realize this only happens to pretty women who have depended on their beauty in life. Most people couldn't care less about their looks as they age. I think of myself as above average pretty but never defined myself with looks, and I actually enjoy the character aging brings to one's face. More importantly, I find health goes before looks, so I care infinitely more about that, looks not so much. As long as you are healthy and happy in old age, your looks are ok. And if you are neither happy or healthy, you will mind your looks changing that much more. Best to focus on health I think, and leave surgery alone.

Honestly some surgeons cant always tell another surgeons work when its so good and skillful. Some are better and some are worse. Anyways, she definitely has had some extremely careful and skilled tweaks done ever since she was young thats why people think she is natural. Her nose has been subtly slimmed down over time and not all at once so as to not cause as much of a stir as it would have had she done everything in one go. It would be much more noticeable. Dont get me wrong she had a great canvas to start with but even angelina doesn't look like angelina without the help of a surgeon. If you see from her before and afters her chin over the years has become enlarged and protrudes way more than ever before even though she was still very skinny however her face still seems to get more "defined" in a way that cant happen on its own. Not only that but her eye shape constantly changes and looks like a whole nother eye shape even with the same signature eye makeup so dont try to say its due to her eye makeup . She went from doe eyed (when she was a kid), to almond shaped (mid 20s-30s) to deep set in her later years (late 30s early 40s). Also wish I could post a photo but in once pic I saw she had a whole chubby ass moon face going on and literally a year later her weight stayed the exact same but her moon face was completely gone, a whole 180 if you will. I dont know about you but that doesn't happen naturally and only if you lose a massive amount of weight (which her weight looked the same it did the year prior to getting buccal fat pad removal) to get the extent of definition she has in her face. Also now her lips over time appear to have shrunk because she used to have naturally huge lips but as she got older they got less plump so I do believe she maintains them and has evened them out with filler in these later years. Anyways to each their own but there's a reason why I see some people with defined faces who I can tell don't have surgery from the ones that do. People say shes naturally beautiful and I am like where? I have yet to see a completely makeup free photo of her she always has either "natural" looking makeup or residual makeup left over which is enough to make you look good. Yes angelina is beautiful but she is still not natural and natural beauty always trumps fake beauty. People (who most likely get work done like she has) are saying its cool she doesnt look over the top but guess what its still not natural. This is made more evident over the years due to the fact that her face looks tighter (most likely due to a face lift),defying the basic laws of gravity and the aging process, Angelina is no exception. I guess looking like a cartoon is the trend for now but people will look back at this era in disgust and cringe just like we do with other eras beauty trends. Look at Adriana Lima she is gorgeous and I doubt she had anything done.

I've said this for years- as a Baby Angie had full lips and so do her biological children, it is a genetic trait! She may have STARTED the filler trend because she really IS that gorgeous and people wanted to imitate it, but she is an original beauty.

One thing you didnt mention is that her eyes most likely were done. When she was younger she had more rounded eyes. (Mine tend to be more this and i dont like them, so I noticed her were similar.) But later on you notice that her eyes are much more almond shaped, with the outer corners being raised more. A little more cat like. You see a lot less of the white of her eyes in the outer half. So i do believe she had a lateral canthoplasty somewhat early on in her life. And it looks really good.

Lip fillers were around when she was a teen but I don’t think she used them. Barbara Hershey - 1988 film Beaches. First time I ever saw the procedure used!

I too, think that Angelina Jolie looks strikingly beautiful. Her lips have always been full contrary to her detractors. I don't think she's had jaw surgery or any of that sort apart from the rhinoplasty. What people sometimes don't take into consideration is that, she's very skinny. That alone would make your face look more gaunt like and exacerbate the strong jaw line she's always had. Remember, her mother is french and if you check her pictures, she looks like her.

Angelina doesn't look generic, she is easily recognisable. Someone like Meghan Fox. She was recognisable when she was young, even though she didn't have unusual features. I understand she had some skin issues, but really the point is now I think she looks like every other generic woman in Hollywood who's had a lot of work done. I accept people having work done, but you gotta keep the essence surely..

Her old nose was better than the new one. It came her a more fierce look. I believe the new nose toned down her beauty a bit. Also, her lips reduced in fullness. A person doesn't change completely after plastic surgery. Even with Michael Jackson, you can tell it's him. If you know a person well enough by face, you can tell. Particularly by their eyes and certain facial structure unless that person had a complete overhaul as the Japanese french doll did.
