@@DrHannahStraight Yes, the extra "Storage" is KEY!!!.. I rented a Sprinter camper one time at Glacier National Park. It was nice but it lacked storage. The cabinets were full of bedding and cooking stuff and I had to pile my things on the passenger seat and in front of it. Fortunately I was traveling alone so it was OK but I came home to VT and started looking for an Airstream and a Ford F150. That was pretty good but I think I like your set-up even better!!!

The website says that these start at $20K (not counting the truck, of course.) $20K seems very reasonable for everything you get. Of course, Hannah has several options. Those may add $5-10K to the price. The camper can even go on a 1/2 ton truck, so you basically could get a pretty nice house for under $100K. Nice.

OK, getting past the " wow, how pretty you are" my real question is, what is a base price for one of these pop up pick up truck campers? They do seem like they are a perfect size for 1 or 2 people, who don't mind simple camping, with the occasional off grid type of camping. Thanks for the post, I thought it was well done, and showed everything needed about the camper, other than the price. Hi Hannah, Would like to hear about any condensation issues you may have had. I just watched another video recently here on YT, the couple were wiping it down every morning. Not sure a small dehumidifier would be enough to resolve that.
@TruckCamper4 жыл бұрын
It's a major problem with the FWC. We had one... There are things that help but never resolved it. Basically you are in an "aluminum can / tent" combo. Aluminum is an excellent conductor. And they are crazy noisy... wind, rain, hail - almost impossible to sleep. They are heavy not much different than any other camper if you option it with comparable features.

I like the idea of being off grid, but like a few comforts too. May end up pulling a trailer, but focusing first on a light truck camper. What would you recommend? Thank you in advance. By the way, just noticed your name/channel "invest and play". I run a financial blog, would like to continue w it while on the road. Let's exchange tips: facebook.com/groups/64628410663/

@@jlegresley We bought a 2016 4WC Hawk and slept in it 160 nights in the first 9 months. Then sold it. Bought a 2010 Winnebago View. Massive improvement of comfort and great mpg. Now, we are building a truck + truck camper (hard side). Take a look at Northstar Truck Campers. They are great value and built for off grid type travel. Inside shower, cassette toilet, awning acrylic windows... We ordered a Liberty camper. Will be updating the YT channel with info! Thanks for sharing the financial blog.

You do have to wipe down the interior - I do use a desiccant setup (eva dry) in my current rig and would also do so in this if I were using it long term. Even in my hard sider I have some condensation build up on the seam above my bed in the mornings. It helps that I live in one of the driest areas of the country but I believe this comes with most if not all pop ups/truck campers.

As usual as usual you're showing people and educating the general public about camping different types of campers how to do it how not to do it and I think there's a really really great thing what you doing for people the general public cuz you honestly you know sometimes the salesperson that will not always show people this but if you are just down to earth and you know you're helping people out and asking him questions and what you're doing is really really great I think what you're doing is really really great doctor Hannah thinking with your helping other people why do people like to go camping but yet they don't know what to wear to go maybe of what to take what not to take how much you need to know it's really great what you're doing and I wish you good luck and continue what you're doing
