The "Nigerian doe" you are eating there is probably pounded yam, fufu (processed casava) or semo, all a.k.a SWALLOW and we have a variety of swallow like eba (also processed casava), fufu, Amala, etc. And it is meant to be eaten with the soup by rolling the swallow into small balls and scooping the soup with it.
