Drift Competitions || EXPLAINED

In this video I go over the general rules and basics of drift competitions, how drift runs are scored and judged and how they are set up. Some of the things are going to be different from event to event, like qualifying formats and point allocations, etc. but this video should give you a good base so you can watch Formula Drift, Drift Masters, or D1 and understand what's happening.

Hydraulic suspension | explain ?

Hydraulics is a mechanical function that operates through the force of liquid pressure. In hydraulics-based systems, mechanical movement is produced by contained, pumped liquid, typically through hydraulic cylinders moving pistons. Hydraulic suspension (for some vehicles) includes replacing the entire traditional spring & strut (aka “shocks”) with special-made hydraulic cylinders, a system of “pumps” & “dumps” to move the fluid, extra batteries to power the stuff, and driver-operated toggle switches inside the car. The most basic system will have 2 switches: 1 for the front and 1 for the rear. Elaborate systems can have many switches: each controlling one wheel, each side, the entire car, and they can be programmed to initiate a sequence you’d like, such as the popular “3-wheel motion” where the car is on 3 wheels only (Check out a Dr. Dre video)! The switches rest at center and are spring loaded. Air suspension aka “airbags” is very similar, it just used air tanks and compressors.
