Have one currently in transit on it's way to me. Will be my first proper micro drift kit, can't wait for it to arrive and get started.

Been wanting to get into this hobby for so long but I'm intimidated by all of the different chassis that are available and keep getting added to the market. Not sure which one would be the best for beginner in terms of high quality performance but also durable and "easy" to assemble
@BeaversHobby Жыл бұрын
Basically from DRZ V2, GLD onwards every car drives really well with different quirks and features so you will be alight to choose whichever available near you. I'd say DriftArt is amazing to drive but can be difficult to build, we'll see about V3 soon. MA Racing 1.5 is amazing to drive and also easy to build but $399 excluding tax & shipping is way too much for the 1st car. If you are OK with 1/24 scale then BMR-X is quite nice and price-per-performance is really good. For 1/28 Atomic DRZ V2 or V3 are also good. GLD will need some upgrades out of the box so it's good if you have a dealer/distributor near you in case you might need some extra parts. The availability of these cars isn't that good so pick whichever you can find at the price you are OK with.

Hello, from my experience, it's better to go for a car with limited adjustments options for a 1rst car. I chose a DA 2.5 to begin with, and besides the fact that it was not so easy to build, the "over engineering" of the chassis limited me somehow. I recently purchased a DRZ3, which was a breeze to assemble and drive. There is far much adjustments to make than I master (and so actually need) today, and the price and availability is good. I would definitely recommend to go with this one rather than the DA, keep this one in mind for a 2nd chassis. Welcome to the hobby 😉

Hi! Are you planning to take a look at the new Orlandoo trophy truck?

Not at this moment. Sorry. I don't know if I will come round to it either.

When can we expect this to be buikt and reviewed? I can't wait, I have this sitting in my shopping cart. But I want to hear your opinion first since this will be my first 1/28 scale rwd chassis
@BeaversHobby Жыл бұрын
Sorry for the delay. I'll try to build it this weekend, but no promises. From what I can see it doesn't come with body mount so you will need to buy that too.

I got new wheels for my k989 but they wobble a little is that normal to deal with?
@BeaversHobby Жыл бұрын
It depends on the wheels. Some don't have good quality so they wobble, normally they won't. You can use Mini-Z AWD wheel shims or shims with 3mm inner diameter to adjust it and make it wobble less.

Out of all the available electronics for 1/27 drifting, what would be the best of the best in each category, in your opinion? ESC: Motor: Gyro: Servo: & Transmitter/receiver: Thanks!
@BeaversHobby Жыл бұрын
ESC: I'd like to say Furitek Cyclos but some have overheating problem. I don't, probably because I live in a very cold place. They have fixed it in the firmware so we'll have to wait and see. The safest choice right now would be either Ensotech Swave W2 or Hobbywing EZrun Mini 28. Motor: Ensotech, Furitek Hellfire or DXR. Gyro: GT55 V4. The one I use on MA Racing. Servo: That depends on the car. If it's the normal size then AGF A11CLS. If it's the slim then AGF A06CLS. Transmitter/receiver: Flysky Noble NB4 or NB4 Pro with GMR receiver. I recommend Flysky just because they have official micro receiver. If you like Futaba then 4PM, 7PX and 10PX are good too. For Sanwa you'll have to get the older generation like MT-S, MT44, M12S or M17 to have micro receiver.

@@BeaversHobby Thank you! What do you think about GL racing motor, esc and servos? And the atomic v4 gyro? Any good?
@muaythai193 Жыл бұрын
@@BeaversHobby would you say my listed setup was good? Or what about the EZrun Mini 28 ESC combined with a 2500KV GL racing motor or 3500KV Hobbywing Ezrun 1626? I can’t get the gyro you recommended in my shop, what would be the best alternative for slow and smooth drifting? I love the Futaba GYD450 and 550 gyros, is there a micro gyro that performs that way, combined with my 10PX? Edit: and for the servo I can’t get the AGF ones. Any alternative for slow smooth drifting? Thanks and sorry for all the questions!
@BeaversHobby Жыл бұрын
@@muaythai193 GL motor +ESC are good. If you will go Hobbywing route, get the full Hobbywing set if you can. The servo, try and get the A06CLS if you can. If not, GL is still OK. An alternatve to that is the PN anima, if I remember the name correctly. Atomic V4 gyro is good. You can also use Futaba 450 and 550 if you manage the space well inside the car. Both Futaba gyros will work amazingly too.

@BeybladeRepublic I have a short review up on my facebook now. facebook.com/beavershobby/posts/pfbid0vyWrckaoMmadbW16CT1gG1o7kDsAxwnx9vZo6ubouubcmEr1RDeGdeVtvt1wMPkWl I'll also post it in the community page. In short, if you are new to building, 3S is easier to build. If you are experienced, 2.6EX is more rigid and tougher.
