Yes! Keep grinding. As long as you still have passion for cars the money will come and you can be a 40 year old 12 year old like me haha

Once you weld the diff it will be perfect my first drift car was a new edge

I want to do one more track day with it before I weld the diff. It needs an angle kit first.

I don’t know if I’m gonna be able to sneak out that day. I’ll know more after this week. I’m definitely slowly improving but getting proper tires and coil overs helped me a lot. This car is definitely a fun car to drift and drive.

Always glad to See someone using another newedge, I built mine into a comp car because I wanted too not because I needed. Also it looks like you are suffering from the typical worn 8.8 lsd not locking up issue and is probably the reason your understeering so hard instead of getting into drift
@LowBoostFilms4 ай бұрын
Maybe you’re right, according to the previous owner he did just put a new 4:10 in there so I was hoping it would last.

@@LowBoostFilms I’ve rebuilt like 7 8.8 rear ends at this point for drift cars and it’s super common. I highly recommend just welding it

I drift a 99 Miata and love it, but I’ve hit a wall with power unless I go turbo. Really looking into the new edge , love seeing more people go this way!

I feel you. The new edge has plenty of power to drift it’s just soft and needs suspension.

just suscribed to see your progression in drifting and modifying the car. great looking car! I'll have to make mine look just as good, i recently got a beat down one out of curiosity😅

Awesome! For what they are and what you can get them for they are really a bargain. I will be making more drifting content soon. I have an event tomorrow, so stay tuned!
@user-ci4cj5eq4x3 ай бұрын
@@LowBoostFilms heck yeah i agree, they are such a bargain compared to European cars, i wish i went to one earlier. I've been seeing another diyer who threw in a cheap 1k turbo kit on these 4.6l with 8psi and -17 degree of timing for 400+hp. that's bargain on a stock blockee

What about the diff can you use stock diff or does it need welded if u had the angle kit
@LowBoostFilmsАй бұрын
@@BradFFAI could weld it but that’s not the problem. I really needed better tires in the front and stiffer suspension. That made a huge difference

i drift my 2000 gt a little bit and have only ever really hit first gear. It’s hard to snap 2nd gear or maybe i’m just scared. I drove my friends gto at the track and the 2nd gear shift while the wheels were spinning felt like i could fly

Yea, this thing slides fine doing first gear donuts in parking lots, 30 mph 2nd gear drifts are different. Look at my newer videos with proper tires and coil overs, it’s a different animal.
