Ain't it just a 740 89-90 turbo? (I have one aswell except the turbo). Or what have I missed? Still she's a beauty real one at that. Tho them lights should get a lil cleaned. Other than that a real beauty in my eyes. I always tear up when I see them 740s. Because they are such reliable and beautiful machines. If theres something I would have again it's a 740.

Just wondering, in a theoretical sense, what would happen if you had a 1989 740 GL, automatic, with 114 HP and you did the following. Put your left foot on the brake pedal and your right foot on the gas pedal, flooring it. I'd be too frightened to do it, but wondering how it would affect the engine or transmission.

It will struggle to spin the tires like that. Neutral drop it if you want to do a burnout, or put something slippery under the rear tires.

In my 240 it did not do burnout and it made the car not happy, rpm won't really climb as it's fighting itself in every component. There was a bad smell too.
