I Flew a Paramotor Trike

Its been a few year since i've flown a solo paramotor trike.
I didn't know if I would be rusty or not. I forgot how fun these are to fly.

After foot launching for 3yrs I flew my first trike last weekend i got thrown in as part of a wing deal awhile ago. Id been skeptical but now I think it might become my primary weekend flyer. The biggest pro is it opens up LZ destinations I just cant be bothered flying to on footlaunch because they require too much walking at the end to get to where i want to go.. specifically remote burger joints with too many power lines directly around them or larger airports. With the trike I can land way down the road at a nice flat field and then just drive right up to the door being all relaxed. Previously all of us foot launchers marched/ trudged along in the sun carrying all our gear was just too much. Same goes for rough camping LZs. I used to think damn a trike could never land on this, then my trike buddy would be yep.. and just land a mile down the road at a much less stressful spot then buggy drive up. Need to go buy food, we take the trike buggy. Need to explore, take the trike buggy. Other pros are its easier launch and landing requiring less cardio effort and can carry alot more stuff (coffee, spare gloves, food , tools etc) to make the flights more enjoyable, weight is not nearly as much of an issue. Im still a bit shocked from the weekend that I might become a primary trike pilot when i have both options sitting right there. The cons are a motor out has slightly less landing options either too rough or too smooth and not long enough to brake in time for a spot.. but not much difference really. A pro in this regard though is if you get the motor started and your engine out is in a remote spot then getting home is 1000 times easier. Even if the engines dead I would much rather pull a light trike along than carry my whole frame and hand carry the wing. Con: Its also slightly less fun to fly as you don't throw it around as much. Overall though the pros seem to outweigh the cons for me. I cant think of many flights now im going to prefer to take the foot launch.
