Adventure sync will make more steps count. It simply increases the accuracy and rate of the app checking your location. So, smelting will update more frequently. ❤ ​@@PauwerPlays

Random skills is brutal. Very Niantic to add some kind of “forever grind” mechanic, I guess it was only a matter of time… The good? Our builds will get better. The bad? Maybe next year. Also only 1 shard per stone and 100 shards per gem? That means you have to walk 500km, just to have a 1/3 chance to get the skill you want, lol. At least the gems should let you choose the skill…

Don’t forget you can delete driftstones if your bag is filled

What they don't tell you is that if you fill all 10 slots, it will not allow you to select which one to replace when you smelt a new driftstone.. It will default replace to what you already have equipped

Luckily for bow users, you can pretty much settle for Jyura legs at grade 8 and just spam drift stones on it until you get all the elemental attack ones, means you can get element 5 and focus 5 on most builds. The bad news for me is that I already deleted all my common jyuratodus materials to make item box space, so I have to grind them all over again… womp womp

Nice. Im also a lance main and im aiming for 2 more offensive guards. Im wondering if is guard 5 is worth it

Not really. You still take chip whenever you miss a perfect guard. But if you can get guard 5 with driftstone without changing your build, it's gonna be great qol

yeah I'm not gonna be bothering with this. having to upgrade and plan out which piece I want to slot the stone in and then walk 5 km just to end up disappointed most of the time sounds like anti fun to me. it was annoying enough in rise with the quirous crating rng but when there is so much more effort involved I'm out. my grade 9 elemental builds (except dragon) serve me well enough and I'm just gonna stay at 8 star difficulty to farm WGS. thanks for the video!

@@rasenkin9607 true but the minmaxer in me would like to optimize my builds as best as possible but this is just absurd to me. WGS are too precious to invest into armor pieces to get them to grade 8 just to start with the smelting process to begin with. hoping they'll make some improvements down the line

Btw @PauwerPlays you can meld multiple at once. Technically not. But you can drift one for the walk. And instasmelt another. Would be nice if we could do multiple at once walking. Like pogo with egg hatching

I've gotten some smelting distance from driving to and from work. I'm not sure what the smelting speed cap is though

They need to keep the selection of skill on the armor piece fixed to the 10 preselected builds. Cause if i add 3 different +1 element to 1 piece it's gonna be a PITA to be Changing it everytime you change build.

Quick question, lets say you have a full inventory of Crimson gems and you don't want any skill from them. Is there a way to trash them so you can loot other gems? Or do you have to walk 5km to pop each one?

You can trash them. Inspect the stone you want to throw and there should be a trash button on the upper right sode of the window

7:15s = agreed. How I've been doing It. Also I have alot I can meld into since I've been grinding with breaker. What my plan is to take the gems and use them to putn1 point of elemental attack into something that already has 2 points to that same element. So I can squeeze 3 points of elemental attack on one piece of armor. Ya know I love my jho and azure lance. Both over g8. I use b.dibble helm a bunch as I'm a huge fan of triggering resentment along with offensive guard on tough hunts. I got lucky first roll yesterday wsd special boost. Special boost 2 even 1 is sooo good. I did jho armor with pink Rath legs full hp begging of the hunt I got a 10k+ hit on an 8* jho. That's the anti jho build with jho lance. I got two of them hits in but the second one wasn't as strong. I also do the jump for the extra damage on lance special.

@@PauwerPlays I bit the bullet and pushed my Anja gloves to g8 and got Fire Attack (w/ affinity bonus) on my first try! That allowed me to change my Anja helm to a Rath helm and swap out the fire resist for attack boost and maintain my Fire Attack Lvl.5. So sweet!

It’s way to easy to not have the right clothing item selected. It would be better to select a gem, tap Driftsmelt, then select the item of clothing that it’s going onto . That way you can’t forget to select the right item of clothing. Super annoying.

Burst or elemental attack haha. Most of the charge blades damage comes from the phials. You wanna boost that damage. Affinity only affects the sword and axe strikes

shame this is mostly for super skilled players as it forces u upgrade armors to lvl 8 its too much since damage is the most import thing

It sure feels like Capcom is telling us in some way that hunters may want to start upgrading their defence before Elder Dragons appear if they don't want to get wiped out after one hit.

Paralysis resistance isn’t the worst of the extra skills, the odd chance or accidental wrong input while fighting Girros could get you paralysed

I wouldn't waste my time though. I've learned that making mistakes is something we all deal with. To make the best thing is just work on playing better because 8star in up punishes you for making one mistake if your weapon isn't strong enough

Walking no. Walking and paying gems to instant finish yes.

You can only driftsmelt one at a time but you can choose to instasmelt while you are driftsmelting one

I wish the drops were higher for these stones. I slayed 30 monsters, walked for 3 hours an only was rewarded 2 stones. Really not worth the grind.

Really, this is more meant for players who want to hunt the toughest 10-star monsters. You can do just fine without it.The time and/or money you will spend getting that "perfect" driftmeld set is better spent upgrading your gear.

Throwing away stonesshould give you shardd, having to actuelly smelt 100 stones is brutal, even for paying whales

Once you craft a gem with a skill that you actually like, is there a way to enhance it? For example, it'll have (skill) +1% affinity. Can we upgrade from there?
