The purple nightmare is one of the best amp I’ve ever played. I have the 100w version with KT88 and 6L6 and it’s a hell of amp.

@@louistorres yeah you can choose in the configurator between, 4 x 6L6, 2 x 6L6 + 2 x KT88 or 4 x KT88. But I think if you contact directly Marek, who is a very nice guy, you can ask him whatever tube and combination you want

It's a preamp, so run it through your effects loop and out to your 212. It'll be a MONSTER!! Or run it out of the clean channel and BOOM!! Fucking beast mode!!

Oh my god! INFINITELY better than the Empress. Which trust me, I know that it sounds crazy to say! Especially since I love the Empress Heavy! The best part of the Heavy are all the fine tuning options you get with that pedal. The Purple Nightmare is shockingly brutal right out of the gate. The Heavy needs the varying EQ so it can sound like the Nightmare pedal, whereas the Purple Nightmare is literally a beast of an amp in pedal form. It's crazy! Again, I'm shocked how amazing this pedal is. Shocked! But everyone I know who has the head loves it, so I shouldn't be shocked! But it's everything you want in a true pedal format preamp. I would buy this thing was is, if it were in a single rack format as well!
