Hello I just opened a Parkside PABS14. 4 A1 which I bought from Lidl and it's not working. The charger is showing green all the time but on placed on the drill it doesn't work. Its brand new. Help me if you can. Thanks Vivian.

I would not use these batteries for the old parkside tools because these new batteries dont have the undervoltage protection to cut off the power when they get low. This protection has moved to the tool to cut costs on batteries as one would buy more batteries for one tool. So if youre not carefull you'll break a perfectlly good new battery this way. If you still wanna do it install some kind of alarm when the battery gets low. Here's a link to a video where a battery is disassembled analysed: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eX-Tometj6eheNE You can see there are no power mos-fets in the 20V battery and the terminals are directly connected to the cells. Hello ..I change the 18650 battery’s inside charger..I charge it first time and everything looking good ..drill was working fine but when battery’s discharged I put it in charger and it’s not charging ..it’s flashing red and green light ..not together ..the battery’s that I should they must have protection board to avoid low re occurring operating cist .short circuit and over current? This charger has protective board to avoid this thinks ? Thank you

No hay posibilidad de romper la batería? Las baterías parkside tienen 3 conexión el pin que está en la mitad de las conexiones, ese pin trabaja con la máquina y le dice a la maquina que se tiene que apagar cuando hay poca batería o cuando la batería está muy caliente, esto no ocurre en máquinas viejas

No,all batteries are 20V in reality,it's just a question of marketing.All have 5 lithium cells in series that gives 3.7V x 5 = 18,5V Nominal and then fully recharged 4,2V x 5 = 21V

Dahen Zana I like to see old tools being recycled and given a new lease of life. The only draw back is that old tools tend to be bulky and heavy. But if you don’t use them much, who cares.

A ja się pytam: "po co komu takie kombinacje.....????" Jeśli jesteśmy w UE (a może jednak NIE!!!) to baterie do elektronarzędzi powinny zostać standaryzowane na jeden wzór podobnie jak ładowarki i kable do telefonów które już są jednakowe. Jedyną różnicą powinna być ich pojemność i napięcie a nie sposób podłączenia. Te "głąby" w Brukseli nie myślą jak ułatwić życie przeciętnemu obywatelowi tylko jak je jeszcze utrudnić wprowadzając nowe obostrzenia i opłaty. Dzięki ich ignorancji na wysypiskach w całej Europie jeszcze szybciej rośnie tzw. "góra tanich elektro-śmieci" przywożonych z Chin nadających się do jednorazowego użytku......A koszty transportu, utylizacji tego złomu i zanieczyszczenia środowiska naturalnego ich nie obchodzą bo "biznes" musi się kręcić i ktoś na tym zarabiać!!! JEŚLI ZGADZASZ SIĘ ZE MNĄ TO powiel moją wypowiedź, może ktoś z "twardogłowych" w Brukseli wpadnie na ten genialny pomysł....

Do not do this mod. The 18v has two pins but the 20v range utilize a third pin I can only assume is used for balancing. Don't destroy your batteries!
