Drill Handle For the Woodturner

In this Video I turn a drill handle on a wood lathe. This is a very handy tool for all wood turners. The handle will accept interchangable hex drive drill bits, allowing turners to have a wide sellection of drill sizes readily available.
I walk you through the entire process and for a small investment you can make your own versatile tool that will last you for years to come.

I think you were using black walnut? I’ve found I’m highly allergic to the dust and stopped turning with it. Have you heard anything like that before? Love your work and idea sharing. Gene E.

Did you consider putting a flat side on the handle for better positioning on the tool rest for great stability?

Search Amazon for (irwin quick change extension) The one I used is a 6' however I found a 5.5" that would work just as well they come in different lengths.
