The vent hole is a good idea. Who'd have thought you'd have concrete block walls. That place is built like a Bank! Well done. The solar setup makes workshop life easy up there.

Hi Craig A bank is right :) Every year I try to improve a bit as I learn a bit 👍

Hammer Drills save a lot of time. I'm sure you saw the board moving when you went back and watched the video, but you did get your indention. Good job Steve, nice and easy project. Your Camp is looking good!

Good work doing your research before drilling holes. That will give plenty of fresh air Steve. Keeping my fingers crossed the camera works for you this winter. Cheers

Steve Rob !!!!!!!!!! What a great video, and I was wondering how You were going to accomplish it at first, but it came out nice! I will simply echo ‘@gatorsworld’ comment here. I always imagined the camp would be in more of a ‘woodsy’ setting, but what a great piece of Property there! I will add that I like your flags, and thanks for flying ‘Old Glory!’ Cheers!

I really liked the visit to the camp and it’s a good idea to bring in some fresh air from outside and the way you did it was brilliant I would say. Can’t wait to see the results of that camera and maybe you’ll have to put a bigger auxiliary battery to keep it going in the dead cold….CHEERS

@gatorsworld Thanks Gator . We have to experiment because what we buy sometimes only works great in someone else's head :)

You could also use it as an exhaust vent for one of those portable air conditioners. Remember when they used to have levels on some drills?

@BruceLyeg HAHAHA yes I do.

How's she goin'? You did a nice job putting in that vent. It just goes to show ya what planning will do for ya eh!! I'm just wondering what you will do with the vent in winter. Will you just leave it open like that? Glad you got the camera going again too. You have one beautiful spot there Steve!!! Take 'er easy!!
@SteveRobReviews3 ай бұрын
@GrampiesWorkshop Thanks Mike. Yep just leave it open for cross ventilation. Probly close it down in a couple of weeks or so.

Steve, I've been looking for outdoor cameras for my house. I've noticed in the specifications that they don't recommend them for use in extremely cold weather.

@547Rick Hi Rick I have the ring door camera at my house and the ring floodlight camera in the backyard and they work fantastic in the cold for the last 8 years.

Interesting. Is there ever a need to block or shutoff the airflow? Winter time, trying to heat the place? JimE

@JimE6243 Hi Jim Yes absolutely if it was used inches winter but not in my case , just spring till fall for me.
