If you angle the whole it should work like bernelli's principle (no way I spelled the name right). It should just create a low pressure zone over the whole and suck in more air volume at slightly less pressure

What youre looking for is the venturi effect. But that nozzle isnt designed to let that work. For a venturi to work you have to take a flow of fluid and reduce its pressure below the pressure of the fluid you want to add to it. Doesnt quite work when you have 90psi trying to get out of the cone.

There is actually a study we did in school that provided the correct information if the hole at at the correct angle of 45°-51° it will create a vortex of turbulence and can increase air flow due to natural fluid dynamics

Dude was thinking drilling a hole in all that's required for the venturi effect. Nope. It has to be at the restriction, it needs to promote flow through it in the same direction as the source air or fluid flow, and it's not going to be way more powerful.

Maybe drill the hole closer to the base ya think?

The ones at my job have a tip that has holes in it… it feels like it shoots air better for some reason. Might just be in my head tho

The holes on the side of most air guns are to prevent air intrusion under the skin if you shoot it against your skin

My assumption would be this increases the turbulence of the air exiting the nozzle, power wise the power of any air tool is dictated by your air supply

Haven’t had good luck with these things. I’ve bought three of them and the bearings came apart in all of them. Have the og tornador now and it’s been going strong for months now

No no no you're doing it wrong you're supposed to drill a hole in the air hose... duh!

Hes thinking about most standard osha airguns and the guy said it, exploiting venturi effect. It wont work on this bc you get work from air velocity instead of volume. I worked in an industrial bakery for 13 years and we blew everything. The best airgun in the world is two quick disconnect males facing away from eachother or a barbed quick disconnect male with nothing on it. Stick it on the ground and push your airhose into it to start it ,pull the disconnect to stop it(DO NOT LET ANY PART OF IT MAKE CONTACT WITH ANY PART OF YOUR BODY!IT CAN KILL YOU!) Air velocity and laminar flow is better in every way, your venturi occures in the pillar of high velocity air. You get more work from the air molecules all moving in a straight line together instead of turbulence that grabs outside air molecules and drags them into the stream reducing velocity increasing volume. At 120psi you get paint stripper performance at 0 inches and leafblower performance at 5 feet. Tons of power. But just like cleaning products, if it works so good that theres a chance it can kill you if youre goofing around, it probably works pretty damn good.

Dont spray that air at your skin, could get an embolism. Not very likely but still
